Thank you, CMH. Again, I am glad you are able to re-enlist. Here's hoping you get to continue adding to the shelf!

oh, well new camera is turning out to be a joy, been playing with it all weekend, still not worn enough makeup yet to take a picture of myself though, but i now have pictures of shelves and ornaments, one inch long blue teddy bear to test the macro and many many many of my neice and cat.
Including one where in the space it took to select a frame (the camera comes with novelty frames) and press the button, the cat, docile napping, managed to get up, leg in the air and head in the nethers cleaning herself.
Its a very funny photo, 'specially as the frame i chose had 'the beautiful life' written over it.
Cats are a joy are they not?
Next task is to install the driver and sit there resizing and up loading all the photographs.
er, yey?
Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

Am I right? (Although the number of the group could vary, and I can't make it out on your patch. There is a very nice write-up by a Senator from Kentucky about the 5th; I'm sure the same words would apply to your service (Afganistan?) if you weren't in the 5th. Liberator of the Oppressed is a fine title indeed.
I generally try to thank every member of the Armed Forces I come into contact with here, but because of the sometimes lively discourses we've all gotten into, I failed to include you. I am sorry for that and wish to make amends right here and now. We appreciate your contributions and sacrifice, CMH. (Actually that goes for Kelkhil and NVGhostRider, if I haven't already.)

Thank goodness! I was afraid it was the remains of some target practice...!

I'm surprised you spent so much time looking into it, but yes, you got it right. Serving with the 7th SFG will probably be the greatest honor I've ever had in my life up untill they bury me. And you know, I try not to let it go to my head, I try to maintain the front of quiet professionalism that was taught to me, but sometimes I wonder. Should I be subjected to a $9 hour security job after what I've done? Should I be denied career opertunities because I'm "broken"? And after having the ideals of freedom and liberation pounded into me, should I have to stand people accusing me of being a rapist? That last one's been stuck in my craw for a long time.
This is America, and I don't think anyone should be forced to do anything so long as they respect everyone elses right to life, liberty and property. Employers can make their own standards and even the most un-educated idiot in America is entitled to his opinion. I feel like I've gottena a raw deal from those people for a long time now. But honestly, if I hadn't been in such a shitty situation right after I was released, I never would have ended up seeing Serenity, and I never would have found FireFly. There's a lot of people on this site who say, "It's a TV show, lighten up.", and there's quite a few others who think it's the flavor of life. I'm on the latter.
Anyone who's been here long enough, or has the ability to check archives from around December-February this year, might remember me. I wasn't one of those fortunate enough to have family and friends who were in a position to deal with a PTSD war veteran... no slight on them, my parents are divorced, my dad's 60, my mom has another child to take care of and my friends all moved away to college. It was just the wrong time to come home injured. So I ended up sleeping in the back of my car for a few months, hating life. Serenity, probably because of the despairity of my situation, was deffinately the brightest thing in my life when I saw it.
So then they took a bullet out of me, even let me hold on to it as a keepsake.

A reminder that doctors in the U.S. Army can lose their liscence to practice medicine in the civilian world, and still be eligable in the military. Terrific. But what to do with the bullet fragments? I kept the small peices, although I've since lost them. You know what I did with the biggest peice? I sent it to Summer Glau. Probably the most romantic/creepiest thing I've ever done. I never did hear back from her (no suprise there).
Oh dear, I'm ranting. I don't even remember if I had a point.

Place my body on a ship and burn it on the sea,
Let my spirit rise, Valkiries carry me.
Take me to Valhalla where my brothers wait for me.
Fires burn into the sky, my spirit will never die.

Hey JQ! Thanks for that... I think... I actually had a 2nd cousin who used to squeeze my cheeks when I was younger - I totally related to the little boy (played by Fred Savage) the first time I saw 'The Princess Bride'!!

And the thread you seek is in FIREFLYFANS.NET Central, entitled "Tutorial on posting pictures at FFF.net" or something very close to that.
But wait, you know how to post images! *is confused
