I have been to Iraq! i spent 13 months there in the army. The entire time i was there we were looking for buissy work. river is right! Dont get me wronge im all for America but F*(% the government. go vote tomorrow and maybe i wont have to go back!

No matter WHAT your political persuasion... voting is what makes us a democracy (er republic, but you know what I mean...)
I mean even if ballots get destroyed, and machines hacked.. if you don't TRY to vote, you got no right to complain!!
I always vote too. And sometimes my side wins..
Chindi soemthing about might not have been the winning side.. but certain it was the right side...

Vote, but do your homework. Don't be one of those people that vote for someone simply to vote against the other guy. People like that cause more problems then they are worth.
Know what you are getting into, know what the candidates stance is, and make a sound judgement. The last thing this country needs is an over abundance of any single party.
And anyone that honestly believes that there is a candidate out there that isn't in someone's pocket, that has a snowball's chance in Hades of being elected, is kidding themselves.
Here's hoping.

Not that you disagree with the actions the government is taking or in your voicing them, but for your blanket nature of the statement. The Government as an institution is not flawed, the individuals in power are. And the fact that you fear going back rather than having the pride of serving with your brothers and sisters leads me to believe you're a weekend warrior. You enlisted durring war time, if you thought you wouldn't get deployed you're naive at best. I hope you don't go back, but if you do, I hope you serve your country well.

I actually had a co-worker tell me she was going to vote for some guy because he's cute! I think she was serious, too! Ouch.
I'll be voting for sure and I've been trying to get myself informed so I'll vote well.

I stand corrected, and I meant no disrespect by the term weekend warrior, it's just easier than typing Army National Guard/Army Reserve.
If you were a full blown active duty Army soldier, than your comment confuses me even more. If you enlisted into the active duty Infantry after Sept. 11 than you should have had no illusions about deployment. It's a volenteer Army, and you knew what you were getting into, and if you didn't, it's not the administration's fault for that.
Regardless, we shall agree to disagree. We are, after all, brothers. Something the civilians amongst us will never understand. And as a fellow soldier I'd rather not butt heads with you. I'm sure you at least, will make an educated choice (and that is not saying the rest of you won't, don't want to start a war over a miscommunication).
Back on topic. Go out and vote. Remember, it's a Right, not a privelege.

I'm right there with you. Another site I'm on describes voting as a sacred act. It's not just the politicians we have to muddle through selecting, it's the many amendments on ballots throughout the US. It's virtually impossible not to be political. I suspect there are many views but maintaining our autonomy and freedom to choose is a gift and a right. But I'm here to tell you they've been holding my phone hostage and I'll sure as heck be glad to get it back.

I also bullied my husband into voting. Of course, once he took a look at some of the measures last night, he found his own motivation.

vote for whoever will get the troops out of iraq, i personally do not care if you think fighting a war is a good thing, but think of the soldiers, they fight for their country but i doubt any of them want to stay there, possibly die.(not speaking for anyone)
vote against george bush. get the americans out so john howard will follow suit and get the aussies out too.
i'm probably politically incorrect or insulting someone. i would say i'm sorry, but i'm not. just hope i'm not insulting you.
