Thanks, all...
I don't usually bop around in a Tux, but that was in the French Quarter (pre-Katrina) for a good friend's birthday shindig. Trust me, we ALL interrogated the buffet table...There were even strawberries and some kind of melted cheese...
Tristan-- Have you ever done one of the coats with a zip out lining? I live in an area where it can tend to get a bit cold in the winter. Just wondering...Either way, as soon as you get your supplier issues taken care of I'd like to talk to you about placing an order.
Since we still seem to be tossing pics up, here I am back in NOLA post-Katrina, working on a cleanup crew at a cemetery. Clothes weren't quite so shiny.

That would be our crew captain in the foreground, doling out some instructions...

Thanks! Erm, what tradition? A lot of them. I'm rather buffet. Shamanism, Druidism, Paganism, Buddhism... You get an idea

Ok, here's a new shot of me in my hat and sweater and such.

MrS, we can only imagine what post-Katrina must be like. It must have been rough on the clean up crew. Although you do look a little more comfortable than the 1st pic with the tux.
PR, the hat looks cute and cozy. You're all set for winter.

It was, in a word, awful... Another author and I were on tour together when the levee broke and we watched it on CNN--horrified not only due to the scope of the disaster, but also because we have several friends living there.
We ran an auction that raised 10K+, then loaded my truck with physical donations (water, food, clothing, etc) and drove down from STL. Spent 10 days doing cleanup, then returned home terribly depressed by everything we witnessed.
Fortunately, the city is coming back. Slowly, but it's happening...
And, yes...The overalls were a lot more comfy!

MRSELLARS, thanks for sharing your Browncoat spirit. You did what a lot of others thought about doing.
I have started a thread under Guerilla Marketing about trying to get non sci-fi fans aware of Firefly. I thought a way to start would be to write to Oprah about all of the charitable acts of members of the Browncoat community. Would it be OK if I added your story to that thread?

Shiny! My bestest friend is a Kitchen Witch

All right, I'm not the happiest with this picture (the clothes were tighter when I bought them, but I suppose that's good in a way) but here I am looking Zoe-ish. My hair has thankfully stopped looking quite so strange...

Y'all knew more were coming, right? The film Companion returns!
I'm looking all gothish and punk now, though. I love these clothes; miss being able to wear them a lot.
