Don't know about purdy, but here I am:

Been meaning to upload a snap of my gargoyles for a while now, finally got around to taking a semi-decent pic. For those who may ask, they don't have names (yet).

If you find yourself getting too worked up about stuff that isn't real (RP Threads etc), then go outside, breathe in some fresh air and try feeding the ducks. (Because ducks don't care about your politics, religion, skin colour, choice of music or even your haircut. They like everyone, provided you bring them food.)

Ok, I'm sure you're all sick of my face by now, but I thought I'd include a pic from my Football days, playing for the Gladiators (now y'all know where the display name comes from):

Nice pic, but to mis-quote Giles, I don't see why a nation that prides itself on being so tough needs to strap on 45 pounds of body armour just to play a game of rugby.

I'm actually English. Never even been to the US. And to be fair, yes rugby players are about ad tough as they come. But in football's defence, you need the armour. Half of what you can do in football is banned in rugby. A friend of mine who plays both sports said that rugby players are tougher, but football is infinitly more violent and dangerous.

Sorry bout that rant, but I get that argument most days from people. Starts to grate after a while

Fair enough. Although as an Australian, I live in a country with 4, or is it 5, sporting codes that can be called football (depending on who you are / where you live), none of which use body armour. And all of them have caused their fair share of sickening injuries,

Admittedly, no amount of armour is going to stop someone's leg being snapped, or their neck being broken (AFL and NRL respectively).

But since this is a photo thread, not a "Americans are pansies for wearing body armour" thread, I'll drop that line of thought and go back to admiring the shiny pics.
