Awwww! Was only havin a bit of fun. I call all my northern American friends (including Canadians) "yanks". It's just so funny to see them get all flustered and call me "Euro trash".
In all seriousness... some of my best friends are Americans. I meant no offence.

as the others have said i think there are quite a few european brwoncoats here
I´m from Germany btw .. 
What do you guys think about organizing shindigs aswell? maybe at first in each country and maybe a yearly european one? Anyone like this idea?

Hallo Kessie! A European shindig would be a great idea.... however I think the show would have to air in more countries in order for there to be enough people interested in our little gathering.
Has the show aired in Germany, or have you downloaded/seen the DVDs?

i downloaded the epis and i´m planning to buy the DVDs soon...
sadly they didnt air it here until now but its rumored to air in the fall or so !
I`m a big Whedon fan for some time now so i just had to check out Firefly !
As for the shindigs i think we could start out little .. it would take some time to plan them anyway!

Sounds just like me. :D I downloaded the episodes too because I'm such a big Whedon fan. (I wonder what Mal will sound like in the German version. Maybe they'll use the same voice as Angel. *L*)
First problem: WHERE would the shindig take place?
The easiest and cheapest place to get to is probably London... but once you're there it's very expensive.
I visited Glasgow last month. That was a VERY positive experience. Dirt cheap to get there (RyanAir), cheap accomodations and if you go in the off season... all drinks are half off!
Somewhere in Germany isn't a bad idea either come to think of it... Hotels are cheap in relation to the standard which is better than a lot of other places in Europe I could mention. *shudder*

oh yeah or the same voice they used for Spike .. which you can hear very often on german Television. Sadly its mostly not Spike.lol.
Hm i think London would be an idea .. but maybe not directly in London , as this as you said would be very expensive but maybe somewhere near London .. a surburb or so.
Maybe the english ones here on the board could helps us there?
i mean Ryanair doesnt fly to to Heathrow anyway, it flies to one farther away from London, right? maybe somewhere near there? i dont know lol
But first we would have to know who else would like to come to a shindig???
