In 1983 Studds (D) ... and Dan Crane (R) were censured by the House of Representatives for separate sexual relationships with a minor – in Studds's case, a 1973 relationship with a 17-year-old male congressional page who was of the age of legal consent.

Foley made no bones about being gay after the scandal was published, but pretended to be a social conservative before. I think he should resign, not for being a predator or for being light in the loafers, but for being a hypocrite.
