Inara's turn
LOCATION: INFIRMARY, PATCHING UP SLIGHT
BOOK:
easing behind Simon, Book looks to Inara and nods in Simon's direction then at the drug cabinet behind her.
Inara catches Book's nod, and gives him one of her own. She finishes what work can be accomplished on Slight, the man's face is badly bruised, and there are several abrasions and lesions that are still oozing a bit. She sprays them lightly with a sealant, and finishes cleaning the blood from his cheeks.
Inara gathers up the bloodied gauze and walks over to the trash receptacle, two steps away from the drug cabinet.
Glancing over to make sure Book has Simon's attention, she slowly turns the handle and opens the door.
Peeking inside, she quickly shoves away the antibiotics and immunity-boosters. Her fingers find what she's searching for. A small vial with a crisp white label marked Moxoceline B. Inara hurriedly fills a syringe from the stock in the cabinet, tapping the side to assure herself there is no air trapped in the cylinder. "don't want to kill our only doctor just yet" she thinks
Slowly turning, the syringe hidden in one hand, Inara approaches Simon's turned back. She places one slim hand on his shoulder, and prepares to administer the powerful tranquilizer.

Doc: Calmly without turning his head, "Inara, there is no need for that"
"Some of us might think otherwise," Damon says from his bed, looking at Brink with a I sympathize with you look.

"Son you just got here on this vessel you aren't crew either. Was it YOU who let Niska out?!
Captain, these two represent a security hazard. We have had Niska boxed up for a while now. I am sure Early contacted Niska's cartel and informed them of our last location.
It would be easy to track us ... thinks for a moment... Badger has turned on you 3 or more time since River and I have been aboard."
Simon presentes a questioning look to Mal his face as he looks pointedly at DAMON then SLIGHT
"Captain, Are they 'Crew' ... just on their word that they are 'safe'?!"

Yes 'safe' is a referance to the episode of the same name. Where Mal told Simon "Ypur part of my crew"
Will refine after meds take affect ... can' think in a linear fashon...

Damon's turn:
Damon looks confused. "Who's Niska and what does he have to do with you beating up on people? I didn't let anyone out..."
He trails off as he realizes that he doesn't remember much of anything after the doctor brought him back into the infirmery. Something about no locks...
The doctor turns to the captain, "Captain, these two represent a security hazard. We have had Niska boxed up for a while now. I am sure Early contacted Niska's cartel and informed them of our last location."
He adjusts a handcuff on one of his wrists and then points at it. "Hey I have an alibi, ask the Feds if you want, but if you ask me, you're the security hazzard."

Book's Move
Location: Infirmary
Book listens closely to Simon's voice and his accusations against Slight and Damon. He moves, as Simon is talking, from his spot next to Simon to one near River. Himself and River apparently forgotten by Simon in his tirade, Book leans down to her and whispers in her ear.
Book to River
"Where is your brother right now, River?"
Book stands up straight again and waits a little longer for Simon to reveal his purposes, and he thinks... how unlike Simon it is to say to someone else who just arrived on Serenity, in need of help, that they couldn't be considered crew.... especially when he himself so recently arrived on this ship under certain circumstances.
Book's mind rolls over Simon's words... *Book argues with himself in his head* He's trying to link the newcomers to Badger and Niska and Early. Is he? He wants us to suspect them, but he's too vehement in his words, and he seems to know much of what Early would do. Be a righteous shepherd, maybe he's just defending his sister? maybe.

Not looking at Damon, still with his eyes on Mal. In a flat tone says...
"Crew or not ... only on their word?"

But this is the real Simon ... how would he (In the show) react to a Blue Sun operative 'just showing' up?
On the other hand Book does know that Simon did something with the 'witches brew' they made together.
That is why I think it is a great post!

Damon is getting frustrated with these people. "What the hell have I done to you! Huh? I haven't done shit! All I done was walk on board cuz otherwise I'd be lyin' dead on the street. Now I'm sorry if wanting to stay alive is a crime in your book, but that's all I'm guilty of."

Kaylee heard the Captain say something to her as she left the infirmary, but she didn't hang around any longer.
Something was up with Simon--something bad--and she didn't want to witness any more of it.
