Damon pulls his glare away from the doctor and lies back down. His wounds are killing him and he is tired. "Fine. I'm just going to lie here and dream of painkillers and alcohol. Let me know if I jump up and start beating the crap out of someone..."

OOC: Sorry. Had a segment on nuclear ramjet engines on Wings, and I had to watch.
Mal's/Thorne's move:
SIMON :"We have been lied to before. It seems to be the standard out here."
[MAL is surprised by SIMON's out-of-character vehemence. He doesn't need the doc going all 'RIVER' on him right now.]
MAL:"Calm yourself, Doc. DAMON here is hardly a threat, he's so shot up. THORNE an' I'll keep an eye on this other'un. I recall you were a stranger here too, once. If you can't be useful, just siddown and shut it. We got things to do."
[MAL heads for the engine room with THORNE and SLIGHT.]
THORNE:"Your doctor doesn't seem quite himself. I noticed the work he did on DAMON, and a bad field medic could have done better. And during his attack on SLIGHT, I felt an amazing amount of rage coming off him. He almost seemed like another person, and a not very nice one."
MAL:"I know he ain't been actin' right. But any threat to his mei-mei an' he goes off like a bomb, an' with as much control. BOOK'll keep an eye out.
[They enter the engine room]
MAL:"Kaylee, how soon we be up an' runnin'?

"Keep the Shiny side up"

River is in the infirmary, as most people are. Book has asked "Where is your brother right now, River?" She replies:
Away. He's trying, but the other is overpowering.

Kaylee's Move
Location: Engine Room
Kaylee half-turns as Mal & that Thorne fella come in the doorway.
"Ummm..huh?" Her mind is a million miles away, wondering how Simon could be so gentle & kind one minute, then so full of rage the next. How can anyone go through life like that?
"Yeah, Mal...got it. No problem. Good, good..."
Kaylee has never called the captain by his name before. She doesn't even notice what she's said.

Zoe's/Wash's Moves:
From the common area, ZOE hears MAL in the infirmary as he thumbs the intercom.
MAL: "ZOE, WASH. Where the guai* are you? And where's that ROHAN girl? Get your pee-goos* down to the common area ma-shong*."
Figuring that any new noise or sudden movement could cause trouble, ZOE stoicly crosses her arms over her chest and waits patiently for MAL to notice that they're standing in the common area. WASH watches ZOE take her stance and figures that emulating her is probably his best bet at the moment.
ZOE and WASH hear a crash from the cargo bay and notice that ROWAN hasn't joined them yet.
ZOE (to herself): "Wonder if she's angry at being ordered about or just isn't great with a dustpan? Either way, we'll have to find sumthin' else for her to do..."
WASH jumps, then looks sheepishly at ZOE, who seems to be lost in her own thoughts, then thinks that he certainly should be jumpy, with all that's been going on. Case in point, the insanity that seems to be coming from the infirmary.
They hear MAL's voice come over the intercom again.
MAL: "JAYNE! Get to the cargo bay an' team up with that Rosanne girl. Search the whole bay, even the hidey holes. ZOE! You an' WASH check the bridge and crew bunks. Then both teams work aft. Remember, if you find Niska, I want him alive...sorta."
ZOE hands DAMON's gun to WASH and watches him check to make sure it's loaded, then draws her trusty Winchester.
ZOE: "I'll lead, you watch my back. We'll start in the bridge. Keep your eyes open for anything that looks outta place."
WASH: "Right, start on the bridge and work our way aft. Let's go get this hotze de pigu*."
They exit the common area, up the stairs and across the catwalk to the fore stairs, headed for the bridge.
End Move.
*Translations:
guay = devil
pee-goos = backsides
ma-shong = on the double
hotze de pigo = monkey's backside

Book's Move
Locale: Infirmary
Book looks sympathetically to River. He can see the worry in her face and the anxiety in her posture.
Book to River
"Don't worry."
River and Simon are now focused on each other. Book moves next to River, puts an arm around her and leads her across the room to Inara. River remains intent on Simon.
Book to Inara
"Take care of River for a moment, Inara."
Book stops and looks down for a moment, obviously thinking exactly what he means to do. When he looks back up again he still doesn't appear too sure of anything. But he walks resolutely back across the small infirmary to Simon, stops and stands in front of him.
Book to Simon
"It's time you told me more about what you were doing with that contraption you hooked up between you and Niska."

Mal's/Thorne's move:
SLIGHT:"Well, captain? Shall we begin, then?"
MAL:"KAYLEE, you dog this hatch when we leave, an' don't open up 'less you know who it is. Hear? When we're able to lift, comm me. [to SLIGHT] "You say you're good at seein' things. Then you go first and see NISKA for us. I'm still not sure if you're story's a Fei fei pian or not, so we'll be right behind. Start in the galley."
[THORNE checks the loads in his revolver and rubs the side of his head where his missing right ear should be.]
THORNE:[in a sing-song voice]"NISKA. Come out, come out, wherever you are. I got something for you."
[The group enters the galley and searches nooks and crannies, storage spaces, under placemats. No NISKA]
