How do you add your own avatar?

I want to add my own avatar but I can't figure it out. Clicking on custom gets me nowhere. It says to email someone but who is that? Haken?
Any help, suggestions, or reports of prior experience would be useful. Thanks.

I'm with you. I went so far as to email Haken, but to no avail. I know he's busy, but he might also be the wrong person to bug, er, ask about this.

We know you're out there! We've seem custom icons!! Please help!

Here's a hint: first, make a donation to the site. Improves the odds of not having your request ignored.

Note: NOT slagging Haken! He's a busy feller! Custom avatars or not, and the occassional technical glitch aside, this is the shiniest website in the Browncoat 'verse.

Yea, I figured it was Haken and I don't wanna bug him, thats why I never emailed it to him. Its not that big of a deal and I'm just so happy he's created the site that I really don't feel like pushing my luck.

Having just (sorta) figured out how to do it, I will tell you. Host whatever it is you wanna use on photobucket, then paste the image tag into the space for your tagline on your profile. It should pop up the way mine does, right under your name. Hey, it's something, right?

Also...and I had to learn thru trial and error...

If you already have a pic in your profile from the ones you can choose from, you must first click "none" (referring to avatar)where you update your profile, click update your profile, log out of fff.net, clear your cookies on your browser, close your browser, reopen and relog on to fff.net.

I was having a heck of a time getting the pic of Zoe off, but what finally did it was the above.

If you think you've got it, head over to Troll Country, find a test thread and test away. These won't post to the main page.
