What do you think of buying the movie direct from Universal?
Doesn't have a cute little counter like Amazon.com has. Can't support a website like you can by buying from the link on the home page of http://www.fireflyfans.net
I thought it would cost $19.99 but it says $14.98.

True that buying from Amazon via the link on this site does throw some coin Haken's way, but purchasing the Serenity DVD from the Universal site has a nice directness to it, and would really show support for Serenity... especially if fans focused their buying on September 30th, our 'Versary.
Besides, everyone can still help support this site through the donation button, you don't have to purchase something through Amazon. Fans who enjoy this site are always encouraged to contribute to Haken's expenses in keeping our shiny website going. So by all means, do both!

That's an awesome price! It's a good time to pick up a Serenity DVD, or more, and have them on hand for holiday gifts. We are starting to approach "that time of the year", and Serenity DVDs are wonderful gifts and a great way to spread the word.

I never saw the UMD version or VHS version
for sale on the Universal website. I don't
even think they showed the VHS version on
the website. But it does exist...I bought
one for a library...captive audience...you

So they may have never have had the HD-DVD
on sale through their website too. I guess
they choose which to sell on their website.

Hey...you think you can get the Firefly box set there too? I'm trying to buy all my converted Browncoats their own box sets, so getting them cheap would be extra-super helpful.

Ah, No. Firefly is a 20th Century Fox DVD.
Did you miss all the posts about Firefly for $20 at Target a couple of weeks ago. Whoo-hoo, that was a great sale on lots of DVDS. Serenity was $10.00.
Hopefully, someone will notice when the next big
sale happens ANYWHERE and posts it.
Target has these big sales on DVD every once in
a while. I wonder if other stores do too?
