he will actually take Eccleston's tortured soul quite a bit further, beyond just the Time War....this is probably the most mature, most layered Doctor ever portrayed.

Again, I have seen the whole season allready, and I can understand your doubts, Eccleston's Doctor brought a sense of darkness never before seen in the show.......Tennant won't go back to the Willy Wonka type personality (I really like that description, it's very fitting)........he is a very textured, troubled soul, not at all comfortable with his place in the 'verse. Stick with it, you won't be disappointed.

I did notice that he put on a Browncoat. 
It's my favorite part when a new Doctor takes over. I love watching him find his own style. Did you see the glimpse of Doctor 10 with the Tom Baker scarf? Checking out old apparel before finding his own. I really enjoyed the 1st two episodes.

it's going to get better as you go along, trust me.......and the best part, i thought, about this doctor is the fact that he can get hurt, and can get his heart broken.
