I'm definitely in. I thought it has a lot of promise. I felt like the final bit with the painter reminded me a bit too much of the Dead Zone, but I can get past that. I'm waiting anxiously the next episode. Of course, I know with my luck I'll miss a couple episodes and end up waiting for the season 1 dvd set, but either way, should be fun.

I'm in Ireland and we don't have the show here yet *sob* but I'm hopeful someone here or in the UK will pick it up. Or that I can get my hands on some downloads!
I did see the trailer during the summer though. It was the best trailer I've seen for anything in a very, very long time.

If I am not mistaken, Kitty's mind traveled through time or rather it was possesed by her future self. Have no idea if that is the exact issue number.

I thought it was okay. Has potential, but it didn't knock my socks off. I like the idea, and I'm always down for a good superhero tale, but the opening text was a pretty weak way to start a new show, ans the way the blood kept dissapearing from Cheerleader lass when she healed really, really annoyed me.
I thought it all felt a bit rushed, as well. But that will happen when your 2-hour pilot gets cut down to 1 hour.
I really liked Ali Larter's character, and the Indian investigating his Father's death. I'm hoping it improves next week with the addition of Greg Grunberg, whom I became a fan of from Alias.

Honestly, I got a little choked up during the last half. The pntulant look from some of the characters over realizing that they are capable of great things. I could feel the weight. Great show. Need more like them to show the responsibility behind any strength.

Hiro was referring to the classic Days of Future Past story, in which a Kitty Pryde of the future swapped places with her younger self to warn the X-Men of some dire situation. It was actually #141-142, but I can forgive him for being a little off (though the writers could have easily looked it up and gotten it right).
I liked the pilot, I think it has some potential. I don't know about the "our lives are happening in this comic book" angle that they might be going for, that seems a little cheesy. But I'll give it a chance.
I like the cheerleader, they did a great job on writing her, I think. And the Ali Larter character's powers intrigue me.

I'm a little confused about Ali Larter's powers. Her reflection tells her what to do and she can evicerate people without remembering? That'll be something to explain to the cops.
I love the little Japanese dude. Spazzy nerds are dear to my heart.
The disappearing/reappearing blood on cheerleader girl's clothes annoyed me too, but I liked her character. And I loved that they have Texans on the show without sounding like they escaped from Hee-Haw. It's rare to have television actually fairly-accurately represent a group of people located in the flyover states.

The visual style of it (the woman's reflection being visibly different from herself) reminds me of Rose & Thorn from DC Comics ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_and_Thorn).

I'm leanin' towards a guardian aspect. She seems to be split on the idea herself. Sure she might just be seeing herself as having clean clothes and actually being bloody like in the mirror, but the idea of the person watching that she can't see is a possibility. Or maybe a killing machine that is mentally unstable and fast like a freak.

I caught the replay, and liked it. I will be watching this series with interest, because there are many, many possible ways it could go, like everyone has been saying. Now, the one or two things I didn't like....

Hiro seeing himself in the comic? The narration asking if the two brothers share a power? To me, that's just the network saying "Hey, look how clever our new show is! We do this and this in the next episode! Great, right?!"
No, it's not great! I want to be surprised by the episode, not the preview!
