I started this thread again copying and pasting TDBrowns words from his latest updated post (see links below).

Since this Job now has a renewed focus because of the limited amount of time we now have I thought it was necessary to bring this to everyone's attention and let everyone see the responses and get the info they need to take part in this.
This campaign has the full backing of the Event Team here on FFF.net as it is primarily a thank you letter writing campaign.

This is what I hope everyone will be doing! It sure is what I'm going to do!

My thanks to TDBrown for having this idea and starting to mobilize folks to take part. It's a shiny idea! I'll sure be proud to work with him.

The Anniversary Job

September 30th will mark the first Anniversary of the American Release of "Serenity". To commemorate this event, we'd like folks to do the following:

A few days prior to that date, send a letter to

Universal Studios in Hollywood. In your own words, Congratulate them, Thank them for making the film and include any other comments you'd like to make. Contact info is below.

On the 30th, please do two things; Send Universal an e-mail of thanks (like the letter), and Celebrate the Anniversary by watching the Series or the movie with someone who hasn't seen it before! This can be anything from a small get-together in your Living Room to booking a Venue and showing the film for Charity. Just let others know about the Serenifly 'verse.

i've got my envelopes printed, brown paper handy, and ready to be distributed to my bc friends a few days prior (too early and they'll loose it, and if i dont give them the envelope and paper they'll all just 'mean to do it' and then not.)

I updated it TVChick, thought it was time to connect all the threads and all the addresses in one tidy place.

Plus we're getting close to the time to begin to really encourage folks to do this.

There was also much discussion on Whedonesque and felt it was important for folks to see what different views were being expressed.

Why some folks want only a thank you letter and what their motivation behind it is. Why others are wishing to express their wish for more and why that is.

I felt like we needed to have access to it all in one place with all the news as of today.. right here.

I linked to your shiny thread above. It had kind of gone off topic a little, although some of the ideas on that thread must not be lost! And I wanted us to focus on just the Anniversary Job from now until the date we do it!

Just can I say awesome!! Its time for people to get cracking...so get writing folks!!
OH and as some people say(and I agree)...send a paper letter instead of email. email...well I dont have much faith in sending emails to big companies...tneds to get deleted...butat least paper letter you know SOMEONE will read it and divert it to the right person. Plus it has more impact.

Hey this whole idea sounds great count me in .I will send a letter and an e mail . As for getting people interested I got several people updated on the Sci Fi channel's run tomorrow and I am telling people about it everyday.
