In response to the ad in a Palestinian news paper giving a reward for the murder of an American...any American.
* Say what you may, but we have the greatest country in the world. Many people love America, many people don't, but it is what it is and we are blessed.
To let everyone know what an American is when they find one trying to collect their reward....
"An American is English, or French, or Italian, German, Spanish, Irish, Polish, Russian, Or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Iranian, Korean, Asian, Arab, Pakistani, or Afghan. An American could be Apache, Seminole, Comanche, Cherokee, Navajo, Osage, or from any tribe considered Native American.
An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is in America they are free to worship as they choose. An American is free to believe in no religion, for that he will only answer to god, not to a government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for god.
An American lives in the most prosperous country in the history of mankind. The root of that prosperity can be found in the "Declaration of Independence", which recognizes the god given right for the individual pursuit of happiness.
An American is generous. America has helped out nearly every country on earth in their time of need, never asking for anything in return. When the Soviet Union steam rolled into Afghanistan, the US was there with arms and supplies so they could win back their country. On the morning of Sept, 11, 2001 Americans had given more than any other country to the poor in Afghanistan.
Americans welcome the best from every country, The best food, the best products, music, movies, and technology. However, they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America, the Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and poor, the wretched refuse from your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. In fact, these are the people that built America.
Some of them were working in the twin towers that morning, trying to make a better life for their families. It has been said that the victims in that attack were from 30 different countries.
So you can try to kill an American if you must, Hitler did,so did Stalin, General Tojo, Mao Tsu Tung, and other blood thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourselves. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place, they are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds that spirit everywhere, is an American".

By that definition of American, the NeoCons are safe, because they surely aren't Americans.

I totally forgot that Hitler and Stalin were out to get Americans because they hated us for our freedoms. I'm looking forward to that revisionist history.

Do we have to provide the head as proof?
Are "Friendly fire" incidents still classed as deserving a reward?

I wonder if your average murder here in Ohio, we have had a couple of those in here lately, could claim the reward. Or what about some kind of accident, like a car accident with a fatality, could they claim? What about suicide? Can the estate of the person claim the reward on their behalf?
Legally there are alot of questions here.

By how do we judge the most successful nation though? Could we not say either the British or Roman empires were more successfull at their hieght?
