“I mock you with my Monkey Pants!”
-- Oz
I’m not sure if I actually do any Buffy-isms. I don’t really do any Firefly-isms, for that matter. Although I have been accused of being somewhat Oz-like. At least two people have independently told me that I speak in “short non-committal phrases, like Oz.” And one person implied it.
What this means or has to do with the point of this thread? I don’t know.
Nihil est incertius vulgo, nihil obscurius voluntate hominum, nihil fallacius ratione tota comitiorum.
Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.

I have been imersed in Joss for only a year now, however, it is hard to tell what my 'real' speach is like. I'm a huge fan of vernacular and dialects and slang. Therefore, I've integrated Joss into my speach without much thought and entirely no planning.
I couldn't really name the Buffy things I say besides putting 'y' on the end of random things as has been stated.
I do tend to quote the show a lot, actually I cannot get through any conversation without quoting something, whether it be Buffy, Firefly, Emperor's New Groove, X-Files, Galaxy Quest, Homestar Runner, Red vs. Blue... etc. You get the point.
It is this simple: I speak Joss. That is to say, Joss-ism is so firmly integrated that it embodies my way of comunication. I find that the reason for this is the simple fact that he makes it so natural. So easy and fluid and fun.
As a final word, I shall admit my undying love for "improper" English. As an English major and overall studier and lover of the language, I believe it is both right and good to play with it. I do not think that people should play with it unless they have a working knowledge of it. Joss does. I emulte him by borrowing from him and also making my own words and way of speach.
Makes life so much more interesting.
All that said, I appologize for poor spelling. Actually, I know how to spell, just lack in the typy-ness.

I use way more than I probably should...but when asked "How am I doing?" I have been known to reply, "Peachy with a side of keen."
"They have boy whores! Isn't that thoughtful?"

I've been using "Bored now." quite a bit lately. Possibly because I have no job and spend most days when I'm not going to college sitting on my butt, BORED out of my skull!

i like to use quotes from the show(s) reworked into my writing.
"See, I've secretly been kind of a fan of me for some time now. I've seen everything I've ever done. I'd love to meet me, but I'd probably just stare and not be able to say anything witty or anything." -- Joss Whedon

Yep! Me too.
I also tend to do that thing where you say something and its kinda awkward, so then you go... but, only in some certain sense, and insert another excuse here, and maybe I should be quiet now.
