Mostly swearing in Mandarin, saying Coin or Cashy Money instead of Cash or Money. sometimes slipping into an old west dialect, things of that nature. I cut my apples(then again, I've always cut my apples rather than just munching on 'em.)

Quoting's the big thing - I'm fairly certain I'm forced to grab my head and mutter, "This must be what going mad feels like" at least once a week, not to mention various Chinese expletives that are useful for driving when there are sensitive ears about.
And every time me or one of my Browncoat friends/relatives does something absolutely terrifying while driving, it's customary to just look at your passengers, smile, and say, "It's okay...I'm a leaf on the wind!"
"When you can't run, you crawl. And when you can't do that...you find someone to carry you."

I think a little bit like the characters talk, and sometimes it slips out (although I try not to - no one at school understands me when I burst out with, "Shiny!"). And, on occassion, I draw parallels between the real world and Firefly, even though it should probably be the other way around.

I keep having to explain just WHY i said shiny to my friends and family when I say it for the first time.
And I completely understand that; I do the same thing with the comparisons. I get this look, and my friends kinda go, "Let me guess. Firefly?"

Well, it's more of a habit from BATTLESTAR, but in a roundabout way it involves FIREFLY.
I memorized one of the chinese swears from the show and tried to use it on a regular basis. But it became too much of a hassle to spit a whole mouthful out at a time. There's a reason why they're called four letter words.
So I watched the first season of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and liked how they replaced "fuck" with "frack." So I decided to instead of say fuck, to try to say frack instead so as to cut down on swearing. But I still like to say fuck now and then.

I say 'Shiny' a lot at school that even my non-Browncoat friend says it now.
I also have a tendancy to swear in Chinese and say 'Gorramit' because teachers don't generally approve of swearing. I'm not even allowed to say 'sucks' in my IB English class. I have to say 'Hoovers'.

Callin ppl I don't like "ReaverSnacks", Identifin "snowbirds" as "ReaverTreats". Drunken snowbird = Marinated ReaverTreat. Old wrinkled snowbird = ReaverJerky. Snowbird who's eaten too much Mexican food = Spicey ReaverTreat. Ambulance = Reaver LunchWagon. Those of us from Arizona know all bout this!!!

Just lots of the quoting. I now, for some reason, cry "curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!" for everything from missing my tram to overcooking the pasta. Some would say I'm overdramatic.
"reavertreats" - I like it and I'm using it, if that's ok!

Hahaha! I'm gonna screech that out the next time my cash register refused to function. "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
Then turn on my flashing light, get the manager over, point at it and say, "It betrayed me."
Me thinks I'll be saying "ReaverSnacks" time and again. ;)
