Also i am gonna start watching it with subtitles on in hopes to pick up on some chinese swears.
Sad to say, but other than dong ma? and some other little words, the subtitles don't cover the swearing (or maybe it's just that I want to be able to pull a long string of Chinese curses out of my mouth).

Most likely, I tell myself 5 or 6 times a day that I'm going to the "Special Hell".

Mostly these days I use the term "shiny" alot. I try to only use it at home or around my friends who are Browncoats, because otherwise when I say it I get strange looks. That and wandering around my house singing the theme song randomly.

Well when asked before by people on how I am today I used to say just ducky....sarcastically of course. Now it is just Shiny. Got the kid and the wife saying Shiny now and she has not even seen the show yet.
Saying gorram, rutting and humped as I don't get yelled at by the wife for swearing anymore.
Used the Cashy Money the other day and got a good laugh out of that one.

Got a firefly rpg going on over at StoryCrafter.com [ http://www.storycrafter.com/story/index.php?storyid=2175 ] .. the other day a now ex-character did something stupid and I had the Captain of the craft say "Did she just mutter incoherently and explode?" ...
In real life I note that at work there are blue latex gloves used by folks, every so often, in the paint department ... and once in awhile I walk by, see them being used and think "two by two, hands of blue"
.. swearing, saying shiny .. not very often in public ....

Too funny! I'm from Arizona, and I know what you mean. Very clever.
As for me, I just add, "Yep, that went well." after any plan or event that is not completed exactly as planned.
Not exactly a habit, but my friends say it's part of my obsession. I got a new 2 drawer dishwasher. (Love it!) I keep a Mal magnet on my clean dishes, and a Jayne magnet on my dirty dishes to keep them straight.

I'm from Arizona too and I think that those are definitely going to get added to my vocabulary as references for snowbirds. Those are just wonderful. I also like "reaversnacks" but that will have be in my own head most likely cuz most people at school are not browncoats yet.
I've developed the habit of desperately wanting to quote all the time, and occasionally slip in gorramit or shiny, but no one around me cept my sis really knows what im talking about so i have to keep them in my head. Hopefully the rest of my friends will see the light soon though, and then theyll get the references and ill get fewer strange looks.

If that was me, I'd stare at them for a beat or two, slowly turn around, and then start screming, "Two by two, hands of blue" at the top of my lungs... or as loud as I could without gettin' in trouble.
