Sorry _ my little space monkey just came at me so fast I lost control of my computer. All is well now.

Anyway - I'm currently watching season 6 & just watched the episode Normal Again. What a mind trip.Poor Buffy.
So, at the end of the episode when Buffy finally chooses her slayer reality,we see Joyce & Buffy's dad looking in on a catatonic and very crazy Buffy, what was that ? I mean she was suposed to have been done with the hallucinations. So which reality was really real ? Is Buffy just a crazy person with a intense fantasy life ?
Am I making any sense ?I might go crosseyed here.

well I don't think it's a definate thing, you're meant to be confused, and it keeps you hopping all the way through convincing you of one then the other...

my opinion is that she decides at the end to go back into the 'fantasy'. but really it's not about which is the real life, it's about questioning reality and the life you percieve as real. she chooses then to live the life of buffy the vampire slayer rather than buffy the ordinary girl, so that is her reality because she decides to treat it as such.

and thats the only reality there is...

Well, if she's 'out of it' there, it means her real self is back in the world here, right?

My take Chrisisall

My take on it has always been that both realities are "real", just one a little more so than the other. Which one's which? That's really up to each individual viewer to decide for themselves.

no, her physical self is trapped in a gloopy membrane with all these tubes coming out of her... no wait that's something else...

she's actually a disconnected consciousness, floating in space, dreaming of dreaming of dreaming of dreaming etc.

you are all just figments of my imagination

The real shock of reality for those of us of a certain age is Michael Warren -- who is forever a cute young cop in Hill Street -- it's like the mirror in the morning.

Of course for me, Normal Again is also the signature for the end of the guy-Buffy thread - but only for me.
