Wilson starts here with a neutral credibility because prior to them outing his wife (and if you knew one damned thing about what she did, you'd realize that jackass maneuver blinded our intel folks just when they most needed to see.) he has no record of any action one way or the other in the public eye - and the administration starts with a negative one.

When I read the article linked in the first post of this thread the biggest question in my mind was, "Why now?" It seemed an attempt to make the Plame investigation a non-story by ignoring the facts of the case that link Rove and Libby to the outing of Plame and focusing in on Armitage. One of my speculations was that there was more information coming out on the Plame story that the Administration thought could be damaging and this was a pre-emptive strike. Of particular interest is Valerie Plame's position at the CIA, what she and the group she led was working on, when that became a focus of their group and how the investigation of her group did not support the publicly stated position of the Administration.
