Seemed like the right place to put this...

Stargate SG-1 is cancelled, and thier fanbase is already rallying for a campaign. Why don't we do a deal with them?

If they help us boost our numbers on september 30th, then they will recieve a contingent of Browncoats to assist them in thier own campaign.

I seem to remember two sci-fi fandoms doing this before, and I can't remember what and weather it worked, but considering how big a fanbase SG1 has, it can't hurt to try, really.

This is exactly the right place to put this!

You know, I have a friend online here who is an SG-1 fan and I am one too. He and I talked briefly on the SG-1 cancelled thread about them starting up a Save SG-1 campaign. We're both members of GateWorld which has a Firefly subsection by the way.

Since we're now considering coordinating a fan push with the folks campaigning for Veronica Mars.... I don't see why in the world a coordination with the StarGate folks isn't possible. I believe this joining of scifi fans together only does us all GOOD! We folks gotta stick together.

I will write SimonB and see what he's found out.

Great idea. This kind of organization could make a huge difference for everyone. I certainly don't mind helping further the cause of other science fiction especially if it benefits the verse.

If I'm not mistaken, the previous coordinated campaing efforts you may be thinking of was between Firefly and Farscape fans, since they were successful in getting the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series produced.

I used to be such a Farscape fan.. not noisy like I am now, but I loved that show.

I didn't even know about Firefly or Browncoats at the time and had no idea they joined forces to get the mini-series.

Sounds like if we want a mini series or sequel we'd better be joining forces some more.

Oh and thanks to all the Browncoats that helped with that! I appreciate it!
