River vs. Buffy, who do you think win?

yea this question has been brought up numerous times, I'd say it'd be largely based on luck. As far as skills go I'd say they're pretty even. I think buffy has an edge when it comes to physical strength and then river obviously has an edge when it comes to mental strength, and maybe even a small edge with agility.
River's ability to read would also give her a pretty good chance, but Buffy's proven she can be pretty perceptive in battle as well. So I think overall they're pretty evenly matched and it would just be plain luck.

river would kick buffy in the pigu, buffy is a big time wuss, river would just kill her in the first few moves.

The numbers aren't quite right, but according to my innacurate counting system, there are 13 votes Buffy and 18 votes River.
So, that means River wins the popular vote. However, upon actually reading all of the replies to this thread, I have to agree with Joss - Jayne wins.
Come to think of it, I think that makes three votes for Jayne. There's also one in here for Angel, too.

I thought about this all day. First I thought River because she can read Buffy's mind. Then Buffy because she is "The Slayer" and would be able to work around the mind reading. AFter 8 hours I've come to the conclusion that they both would win. River would read Buffy's mind and know that she was a good person who killed monster and was not a threat to her. Of course after I thought that, I thought what if she thought River was a monster, however, Buffy doesn't approve of killing humans even bad humans (the episode where Faith accidently stakes a bad human).
