Before I stash this thing away in a vault I plan to watch through the pilot with the script in front of me, comparing it with the filmed/edited version. When I do that I'll keep my eyes open for "gorrammit" and (if it's there) I'll get back to you.

I've been thinking... in case anyone is considering bidding on the other scripts, it's probably a good idea to conjure which episodes have relatively more Jayne in them. It's obvious (in hindsight) that those will be more interesting because of Adam's notes. I'm referring to "Jaynestown" here, and maybe one or two other eps. Whereas, say, "Objects In Space" would be less likely to have those little extras.
Take it from me: the script itself is nice, with the autographs and all, but it's the notes that make it a real treasure.

The scripts obviously are the originals (like the piloter still has the scene where Zoe talks about Mal loosing everything in the war, which was later taken out). If anyone cared to know:

So there are some deviations to the finished "product", but they are minimal (reading them, I was amazed at how exactly the actors stayed with their lines!) The Book-Inara scene obviously was planned all different though.
Anyways, this is nothing compared with the script that DonCoat got - with REAL staines

I think it's an excellent plan to place the script in a bank vault. If this whole thing winds up playing itself out like I foresee it happening, that script is going to wind up being worth 10 times the amount you paid. ...And even then, you probably won't want to sell it: Too much sentimental value. Your children or grandchildren might decide to sell it, however, in order to better secure their future. Wouldn't it be nice if our ancestors all left us something worth a couple x $10K?
But before you vault it:
1) Scan a digital copy of it and burn it to writeable media, preferably that with "dye formulations... such as phthalocyanine and azo" which "are more stable and last longer, 100 years or more, compared to 20 or 30 years for less stable dyes", and then only under ideal conditions (from http://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html). When you store the media in your safe deposit box, be sure it stands on an edge, rather than on its face or back; this will add years to its readability.
2) Having a digital scan also means you can peruse the document at your discretion from any computer -- or any other JPEG-reading device, like current-gen MP3 players, compatible DVD players, cell phones, et cetera -- without having to put acids from your fingertips onto the actual paper document itself. This will save you trips to your bank to look at (and place your destructive fingertips on) your religious icon. ;)
3) Store the paper document itself in a ziploc bag (pressed as flat as possible before sealing to remove excess air) along with 2 or 3 of those adsorbent sachets of the sort one often finds in medicines and moisture-sensitive electronics packaging (Bayer aspirin products always have one in them, for example)(ETA: If I remember correctly, athletic shoes frequently have one or two in the box. SO, just do some shoe shopping before you go to the bank, cuz you really should replace the sachets every time you open the ziploc bag.) If you have a vacuum-sealing food storage device, this would be a good solution as well, though less user-friendly for opening, closing and later reopening and closing in a bank vault. Remember, the Dead Sea Scrolls survived as long as they did because they were stored in one of the driest environments on Earth...
If you want to get really correct in storing paper docs and digital media, go to the experts at the Library of Congress for their recommendations. Here's a good place to start:

Don't have a scanner? Go to your neighborhood Kinko's, or use a digital camera on highest resolution (no 'digital zoom', though), just like "Bond... James Bond" would do. Ideally, you want a full-color scan, rather than a monochrome one from a fax-printer combo, because the pages are different colors, use of hilighters, etc.

If you ever do post scans of the doc on the Internet, be sure to use Photoshop, or a freebie like The GIMP to 'black out' the autographs with a digital editor. We know you've got 'em, and is there anyone who wants their 'payroll signature' posted on the InterSnare?
