umm not that I don't adore her, but Morena is basically an unknown. If you put her name up, only frefly fans would know it...so she'd be perfect!!

Artificial tall is a very easy thing to do with the wonders of movie magic. Keep a few crates floating around and choose your camera angles well and it's all good.

I was about to say the same thing Dave just did. Remember how Peter Jackson managed the different sizes of man, elf and hobbit? The same type of technique could be used to make Morena appear taller.

Or they could do what they do for Tom Cruise, and have her stand on a box.

Plus, despite how she looked on Firefly (flanked by Nathan and Adam, who are both very tall), she isn't small. I've heard she is at least 5'8", which is on the tall side of average (or short side of tall, if you prefer). Give her boots with a touch of platform, big heels, and *poof* 6 feet tall. Add camera effects to it, and she'd look positively statuesque.

And Tom Cruise is the perfect example of how well camera trickery can make anyone look tall. I've never understood the "has to be really tall" requirement for Wondy. As long as she looks tall, it'll work. Of course that doesn't mean any actress could do it. An actress whose build is tiny (think SMG) would never work, because no matter what tricks they would use, the actress would look wonky. But an actress with long limbs and of average height and build can be made to look tall very convincingly. Which means Morena would look just fine.

As a woman who is 5'8, and therefore quite qualified to have a preference on this very important matter, I would like to say that, yes, I do consider 5'8 to be on the short side of tall, not the tall side of average, thank you.

And there you go, words from someone who knows. 5'8" is the short side of tall, therefore Morena is officially tall.

Morena would be wonderful as WW. She's got enough curves on her body that she will look very good once they get her working out but she won't be overly muscular.

I'm 5'8''also. I'm too tall to be considered "average" and too short to be considered "tall".

Just walk a little in my shoes and try to buy
clothes. Pants are either too long if I can find talls and regular pants are almost ankle pants. The same with dresses. Stuck forever in skirts and blouses for work.

To complicate matters I have a long waist and I've been in the 6-10 misses range since I was 13 or so. Juniors never ever fit me. So no cute, frilly and feminine clothes. Oh, to have custom clothes and costumes like Morena.

yeah, I dunno who it'll be... I didn't know Joss was doing WW though.... by that I mean making the movie, not the inuendo...

I think morena could do it, and do it well. then they interveiw her, and ask her what some of her earlier work was and Boom! firefly plug!

one hesitates to mention this, but according to the latest statistics the average woman is currently 5'4" so 5'8" is actually tall... and I just checked Morena says she is 5'7 3/4 inches ( which by the way is so damn cute)

I've also seen rumors of Eliza Dushu getting the role though I think Morena definately has more of the look.

Joss really wants to throw everybody for a loop cast Gina Torres!!! She is an ultimate warrior woman ;)
