Maybe you found out about Firefly on your own (if so, feel free to give yourself a pat on the back). Maybe a Browncoat introduced you to it. Possibly even a friend who didn't even like it that much. But whoever got you hooked on Firefly/Serenity, they definitely deserve to be thanked for doing it. So post a thanks to them in this thread!

I want to thank Qwerty and my friend Yau for getting me interested in Firefly. Love you guys!

Thanks to my ex-boyfriend, but still friend, who started me on this by showing me the website for serenity that was so awesome we were both way excited to go see the movie. I got the BDM and he got the BDS (though I have my own now) and tons of fun and hi-larity ensued. Yay firefly!

Thanks to my friend Harley who told me about a marathon that was coming on Scifi. Granted, I had already watched the movie, but this got the fire under my butt to buy the series.

Thank you Aisling for getting tapes of Firefly from the US that actually play here so I could see the show all those years ago... And thank you for buying Serenity for me for Christmas :)

Thank you Geekmafia for letting me borrow your Firefly DVD when I loaned mine to Aisling and then missed it too much. I promise to get myself a second one soon. Thank you also for downloading the FireflyTalk podcast so I can listen to it when I visit, and for showing me all the cool Firefly Serenity tee shirt websites and where to get the best screencaps for my animations - and then letting me save them since I don't have access to the net at home! Thank you, um, Netflix. Thanks for making putting Serenity in my recommendations over and over again until I gave in and watched it. And thanks for then immediately showing me that you had the series available for immediate shipment, too, and then recommending all sorts of other goodies based on the rating I gave Serenifly.

And thanks to my son for asking for the series on DVD for his 12th birthday, because Daddy said we were buying too many DVDs and had put a stop to my buying and this was the only way I got them into the house.

Thanks to Aveline - my friend who holds regular 'Buffy Fests' and mentioned 'Firefly' to me ... then got me to house-sit for 4 months so that I would have to watch her copy of it at some stage... I bought my own set before I moved out!!!!
