Do you at least get extra incentive pay for working on the weekends? That's the only thing that gets me through weekends here.

no, I don't think so. It's just one day..sat. and I work to late to do much Fri. And one incentive is I have 3 days off. Eh, I'll survive, and the work won't be too bad. I don't think.

monday is one of my days off...i would be rather sad if it left us

also, thinking about how close d*c is is actually making me on edge and nervous...i'm trying to sort through why that is (though i think i have it more or less pinned down - i'll share later)

Was just reading the tracks page over at dragoncon.org...there's a Pern track! That's awesome :D Also, many tracks on sci-fi literature, going to eat all my time up, haha.

The nervousness stems from a bit of anxiety, i think. I'm beginning to suspect I can't really drink due to the anti-depression medication I'm on. I drank fine at NYE, but I'd only been taking it for about 3 weeks. I drank a lot a few months later, but got much sicker that time. Last night my cousin called me and asked me to come out to the bar to have a drink or two with him, so I did.

By the time I was done with my drink, I was already feeling sick. Not inebriated in any fashion, but sick. The bartender must have liked us because she came over and gave each of us another of what we were drinking for free. I was like "oh no," haha. After about half of that one, I said I was done and took off for home.

I felt sick the whole night and ended up eating a lot to try to get my stomach to calm down, which helped for a bit. I still feel a little sick :(

I've always been that way, I get sick way before I become inebriated, but in the past it's always been a far greater amount of alcohol that would bring me to that point. From what I hear of D*C often times it almost sounds like a big party, drink-fest type thing, and I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to hang due to the events of last night.

I guess I just feel a bit apprehensive. I think they're may be other issues, but I'm fairly certain that is the greatest among them.

aw, sweetie! I'm sorry. My dad can't drink for the same reason. But, if you'll remember, my brother was with us on NYE and he didn't drink at all. So, I don't see why it'll be a big deal.

If you feel left out, I'll not drink too and we can be Sober Buddies. I don't care so much whether I drink or not.

Yeah, I recall Ath. I guess it's not a big deal, just the way my mind works, I suppose. I won't feel left out, though, so go ahead and be drunk and merry ;p

Ouch, that kinda sucks. But as Serenity has pointed out, drinking isn't required ,by far, to have a good time. There will be plenty of other non-alcoholic drinks there too. I'm not planning on being slobbering drunk for four strait days. That's no fun for anyone. So no worries about not fitting in or having to baby sit drunks. Everything is going to be fine. 22 days
