To put this post back on track, I'm still having problems with the E-mail notification, so Haken, if you read this, it's just something for you to think about.

Yes, I believe a few others have had the same problem, though, their problems don't seem to be as presistant as mine. I can assure you that I have not unchecked the "Notify me when someone responds to my comment" option, I really haven't paid attention to those options checkboxes.

Not that it is what's happening to you, but have you looked into the possibility that a spam blocker is intercepting the notifications? It has been one of the cause in the past.

I'll check for that. though I haven't played with the spam blocker in recent memory. who knows, something might have changed.

i'm having the same problem, not on the threads but on bluesunroom items. I recently posted my first image in the bluesunroom (This is the item if you need to see it: http://www.fireflyfans.net/sunroomitem.asp?i=11893&nid=17002). it was rated and commented on a lot, but i never got any notification. :(
