I reckon a new campaign can't hurt anything. If the movie becomes a definite thing I'd just wait and see and try and get people to go see the movie.

Hmmm... let's look at some non-Jos shows. Did you think X Files was tired? Especially the first few seasons? That was Fox if I remember rightly. Seven Days had a pretty good run. Wasn't that UPN?

Never watched X-Files; couldn't get into it. Never heard of, was it Seven Days? So I guess I am generalizing unfairly, not having seen everything that FOX has aired.

If you get the petition going I will organise something here in the UK and I can guarantee that a few hundred signatures wil be added to it. For those of us lucky enough to have cable, we've been able to watch it on the Living TV channel, and there are a lot more that already have it on DVD.

Have you guys heard of the FIREFLY/BUFFY convention in Blackpool UK?

Okay, there's a *whole* lotta talking going on here. -But the one thing I _haven't_ seen is someone pointing the way towards the action. To make things more clear.

Where's the petition to bring back firefly?
Where's the list of sponsors so we know whom to thank?
Where's the snail mail addresses for fox, upn, sci-fi, and the sponsors?

I just plopped $35 bucks for the DVD set. If I'm willing to do that, might be other people are as well. I'm willing to write a letter or three, but I do need know where the action is.

Who's got the goods? And why isn't it posted in nice obvious like spot on the front page?

OMG. I just bought the DVDs on recdommendation. Less than 48 hours later, I'm done watching, and I've registered my disgust with Fox.

WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?

They kept Deep Space Nine syndicated for YEARS, and they toss Firefly out after less than a season? This is insane.

Absolutely unbelievable.

I must get the word out. I'm getting EVERYONE I know to buy this set of discs.

Got an idea from another thread about how to make sure the "Powers that Be" know we care - write reviews for the DVDs at Amazon.com. It already has 483 reviews attesting to the show's brilliance. Maybe they'll sit up and take notice if there are thousands of positive reviews.

I recently just finished watching Firefly on DVD, since I was not fortunate engough to see it on TV when originaly aired. It took all of 5 day, and that was because I was trying to make it last. By the end the 2 hour movie I was hooked. The people at FOX should be shot. What a crime to end this show so fast. Lets make sure that Joss doesn't give up on Firefly. Its too good to just let go.
I can only describe the loss I felt after viewing the last episode as like a person newly in love watching there new love get hit by a bus.
This is one loss I'll never get over.
Firefly forever. Lets never give up.

I know what you mean about wanting to make it last. I got the DVD set and haven't watched it yet! I got it before I even had a DVD player!
I'm trying hard to ration myself.
I stumbled onto Firefly when it aired on the Space channel, and not knowing that they'd already cancelled the show, I fell in love with it after the first episode I watched (don't remember which one).
Now I want to savour it until the movie comes out ;).
