I'll be happy to donate money toward an ad in one of the trades.

Given a choice between the earth-that-is and the 'verse-that-will-be I'll take the latter.

Wow 11th hour, that seems perfect. Makes complete sense to me. A trade journal would definitely get the attention of the folks that call the shots. Would an ad in a "normal" paper get new recruits? Make someone that has never heard of the 'verse say, "What is this all about?" and go out and rent or buy the BDS or BDM? and would that be better at getting our ultimate goal...A BDM2 or BDS season2 or Mini series even? I don't know what do browncoats think?
LA or NY Times has millions of readers daily. a lot of the people in the Biz also read those.

Well, I've always thought that the SCIFI channel would be a good place to start the show back up again. How many damned reality shows must we endure??!!!

I know that the Brokeback Mountain fans did something like this and did it in Variety Magazine...
Would maybe raising money regionally be helpful? Like east coasters raise money for an ad in the NY Times and the west coasters pay for an ad in variety?
Just an idea...sorry to intrude.

KSB36,
Im curious as to the info you found on the cost of an ad? It would be helpful to know what number we would have to shoot for.
Thanks!

The cost for an ad looks to be north of $5000. I am trying to get in touch with anyone who was involved in putting together the first one.
Please e-mail me if any of you read this.
