The sexual magnetism virus from series 8 of red dwarf. That would be so awesome. Or that thing that can stop time, turn back time, or anything, either one would be fun. I can't remember what its called. Red Dwarf had some good technology. But for spaceships it would be Firefly all the way.

Ditto Replicators a la Star Trek." More precisely, the molecule recombiner/rearranger thingy machine from a book I can't remember. [I suppose if I describe the plot, SOMEONE on fff will know, so.....story starts out with some hideously rich father having an island made-out of nanotechnology, I think-for his daughter's birthday, then there was a "book", written as her life progressed, reflecting what happened in her life] Anyway, the machine took recombined molecules into whatever you needed, and also you could put waste materials into it, and THOSE molecules would be rearranged into something else.............Anyway, THE POINT BEING, these machine were in every home, even the poorest, so no one went hungry. Basic food stuffs with adequate nutrition were available at all times to everyone. Also, garbage dumps, recycling centers, etc were obsolete because these machine were all over and everyone just "recycled" refuse at the molecular level. PLEASE someone tell me the name of this book......I've been thinking alot lately about it, and all the ideas/inventions/new technologies in it, and I'd really like to have my own copy. OK, sorry, that was a bit long.

Life is short, brutal, and unpredictable. EAT DESSERT FIRST.

I would go with droids from Star Wars, an R-series droid for me and a 3PO droid to annoy the crap out of my mom

Aw man, my programmer-type nature is showing. I read that and thought software bugs. Not creepy-crawlies, but rather things that crash the server. And I have had nightmares about those.

For me, it's a tough choice between a Firefly and a transporter. Hm, freedom or instant travel? Or is instant travel freedom? And are Fireflies gas guzzlers? Hmmm...

I'd probably want a Firefly or a replicator from Star Trek, only able to make more things, and bigger. Probably a Firefly though. A time machine like the TARDIS would be cool too.

I have a list of these, each has a reason.

1. A Firefly(well you already know)
2. Become a super soldier from Project: Snowblind(That would be awsome)
3. Holodeck(I would never have to go to the airports again, I could go anywhere without leaving my house)
4. Star Trek Replicator(never have to cook again)
5. Shield thighy from Stargate Atlantis(I'd do so many stupid things just to scare people and never get hurt)
6. Strider from Half Life 2(cause it would be all like "stomp, stomp, stomp" and you'd be all "AAGGGH! help!" And it'd be all "budda, budda, budda" and you'd be all "it's killing me!" and it'd be all "Stab-you-through-chest-with-foot: And you'd be all "oh no I'm dead" Heh heh. That'd be awesome........I mean BAD! That'd be BAD!)

I'd have a crack at a Firefly, bound by no fences.

Second on my wish list, some sort of time travelling device would go down well.

Either one of those would be good, I'd prefer the first ;)

Is it bad that I find this extremely funny?

I wonder if the fact that both things I'd like are modes of transportation say something about me, on the other hand they are also both homes.

It may also say something about me as when I wrote Time Travel, my mind was thinking of the TARDIS. Which being the case, one can be on a firefly at will (and good course plotting )

I though we at least saw Tegan's (and/or Nyssa's) room in the TARDIS during Peter Davison's era. Any older Whovians remember?
I do remember the OMG sized swimming pool. I want one of those in my TARDIS. Plus the Cloister room.
