So I was thinking, from all the sci-fi movies, tv shows, books etc. what one piece of technology would you love to have in everyday life?
Those transporters from Star Trek are pretty cool, especially with the current price of gas.
What do other people think?

Replicators.
The Star Trek kind, not the every-bug-related-nightmare-you've-ever-had-is-coming-to-kill-you things from Stargate.
I prepare a lot of meals for myself. Thing is, all the remotely healthy food I know how to make (and can make with the food-parts in my mom's house) serves 2 or more, and typically requires more than an hour to make (courtesy of my mother's philosophy that a "meal" is when you start making dinner at lunch time and have all your friends over).
Since I have no friends in the area, and have better things to do than spend half my time cooking, I'm always having microwave soup, sandwiches, and/or ramen.

Think I would have to answer that I would want a Firefly. Not only could it serve as my home, it would also allow me to cruise our solarsystem, exploring it. It would meen total freedom.
You can’t stop the Signal.
Keep spreading the word about Firefly!

Only two things really stand out:
1 A Firefly, but since I can't fly it or keep it in repair that might be a problem.
2 The Tardis, but since I can't operate it or keep it in repair that might be a problem.
I wonder if the fact that both things I'd like are modes of transportation say something about me, on the other hand they are also both homes.
Though we never do, to my knowledge, see the actual bedrooms in the Tardis, or the kitchen, or the bathroom, but you just know that they're there, down the hall somewhere.

I'd want a Firefly too. Cuz it's bigger than the Millenium Falcon, even if the Firefly's don't have a hyperdrive. But that's kinda cliche on this forumn, so...
I think an android would be nice. One that doesn't complain much, and would do all my chores for me.
