Thanks for the reports, me hearties!
Have seen no trailers yet.
I can hardly wait to see the whole thing.
Couldn't be more excited if we had a new
BDM. 'Struth!
My spy-on-the-scene said last summer that
they were shooting #2 & some stuff for #3
and writing #4 & #5, all at the same time,
with the writers on hand to touch up #2 as
it went along.
(Seems there's always discussion during filming
and it's worth it to break tradition and let
the writers see and hear what's going on.)
The PotC project is on hiatus right now
but there are a lot of people due back in
the Caribbean in August.

Well give ya the update here, got the job in Japan so celebrating and going through the mound of paper work here right now. Was just in Cali and went to Disneyland twice hoping both parks. Anyways bought a bunch of Pirate pins for the movie. Had 29 new pins come out the last day I was there. Plus got a bunch of picts of displays they had around shops for the movie and ride etc. Pissed though cause Pirates ride was to reopen the last day I was there and F'ers cho baka yarou..... ended up switching the opening date to this monday after I had already headed home. Can't wait for the movie though it looks as good as the original from the trailers. Just watched the Orig on DVD. Also if you get time go to youtube.com and do a search for Capt Jack. There is a cute fan music video someone did setting clips from the first movie to a techno beat. Its my all time fav one on there. Its in my favs under Ookami7.

That's better.

My one single problem with Pirates is when Barbossa dies and drops the apple. Beautiful scene, what with Geoffrey, except I can't figure out when or why he fights with the apple in his hand.

Sorry you missed the ride, but there's always
next time. (LOL)

If you have the 2-disc DVD (or if you can borrow
one, there's a feature which goes all over
what's in the ride, and you don't have to stand
in line on a hot day!

I'm jumping up and down in anticipation....

Oh, there are more problems, even after
the writers' track explains the whole Curse for
you. Hehe. We'll just ignore that.

Now for the apple. Barbossa has said that the
first thing he'll do once the Curse is lifted
is eat a whole apple. I think he has that apple
in his pocket in anticipation of the lifting,
but the man who's been carrying that bullet for
him catches up and delivers it.

It *is* a beautiful scene. As is the film.
Silly, idiotic, and all the actors "got" their
characters and just moved into them. I'm
hoping that #s 2, 3, and whatever can meet
the standard set by #1.

Yup next time. I've been on it before I just wanted to see the changes. I have the 2 disc set, but I don't know if it has the changes ie Capt Sparrow and Capt Barbosa added in the ride etc. Same here, not too much longer until the movie comes out. Hang in there and keep counting down the days.

Ookami, if they have added a bunch
of stuff from the film, you can be
sure it's not on the original Collector
Set. The little show about the ride
was made in the 60s to advertise the
"new" ride. It's classic Disney, with
Walt himself running the show and a pair
of ladies in funky awful 60s outfits and
hair and makeup. One of them I swear to
Disney is carrying a riding crop!

I guess we've got to get our acts together
and get our lazy buns through that ride for
an update. Wanna bet they have a screeching
monkey in the cave?
