Good luck with the class! Judging by the way you write, I don't think you will have a problem at all re-absorbing the language!
Bonne chance!

Armor...one of my pasttimes. "Armure" in French...don't mind me!

Armor is one of your past times? Like, making it?
(Sorry, I missed that!)

Wacky fun!

Yes. I apologize...maybe I used the wrong word?

That's the link to the photobucket page. Use "coffeecup" as the password.

Wow! That's pretty awesome! What kind of material do you use to make it? Did you make the sword and lance, too?

Wacky fun!

Just have to de-lurk to tell you - that armour is amazing! I'm not surprised you want to show it off whenever you can.

Please tell me you didn't make the wavy sword, too, or I might give up building things forever!

Mattie, thank you!
I use 16-12 gauge sheet steel, bang the heck out of it, then polish it until it glows. I've been doing it for quite awhile...relaxing pasttime! No, I did not make the sword or the spear...I don't have a forge yet.

(Sorry it took so long to answer, I've been away from the computer)

-EDIT-
I may be away from my computer for most of the weekend, so if I do not respond quickly, that is why...but I shall return Monday...and my brain should be ready for more French!

Thank you, Chaos...no, I did not make the sword...that belongs to my wife.

What do you build, by the way?

Tristan, that sounds really neat. I'd bet that banging the heck out of something is pretty theraputic. You don't have a forge...yet? Hahaha, is that in the works?
Have a fantastic weekend! I'll talk to you for sure on Monday.

Wacky fun!

Mattie!
Sorry, been away from the computer for almost 24 hours...going into withdrawal!

Yes, armoring is very theraputic; makes the mind focus on changing the shape of the steel to match an idea...not to mention the really neat rhythmic beat created.

I'll be on for a liitle while tonight...if I don't hear from you, I will chat with you tomorrow!

I get just a short time cuz someone else needs to use the computer tonight, but I'll say hi! I might get to be on a bit later, though.
I hope yard work went well!
Banging on something is really a good idea! I like the idea of translating stress/emotion into something physical. It would be fun to listen and create rhythms as you go, too. I like the picture that it paints in my head.
My therapy is writing. I used to be a softball maniac, but when I graduated from high school I quit cold-turkey. Talk about withdrawls! So, I found a new creative source in writing. I think I judge myself a bit too hard because I've studied the classic, really great writers. But, meh, at least I try! Sometimes I'll go and bang on my piano, too--that always does something for me too.

Wacky fun!
