PN...here's why you have bad propaganda. Even if all the crazy, outrageous stuff has even a tiny iota of accuracy, you blatantly exaggurate/lie in your blogs. According to the University of Tennessee ( http://web.utk.edu/~senate/docs/2005-06/SalarySurvey2005-06.pdf ) the average professor in the Classics department (usually the liberal arts, especially the classics, the profs make the least) makes a median income of 80, ooo. Maybe, you were looking at only the salary of adjunct professors, but they make bupkis, always have, at any school.

Also, on several of your previous posts, you mix-up or misquote the Consititution, when you said the 13th amendment had something to do with the judicial branch, when all it does is free the slaves. I certainly like that amendment.

Also, concerning Mexican history, the insitution of canibalism was of course horrible, but if you compare the amount of cannibalistic executions in the Triple Alliance (what is the preferred notation of the Aztec, as it was a combo of three empires) they were comparable to European killings at the time of religious dissidents. The peak of the Alliance (hee hee) was around the mid-1400's, the high time of the Spanish Inquisition and a little before Ferdinand and Isabella took over Spain. (from the book 1492:The Americas Before Columbus)Furthermore, canibalism was stopped when Cortes and the Church stepped in and found is rather barbaric.

Also, the Mexican government has always--always, post-Cortes, been against slavery (probably because the natives made poor slaves, but that comes later)and one of the main issues in the Texas War for "independence" was the right to retain slaves (The white texans emigrated from the southern states really liked slavery; Mexican government did not. Houston, Crockett, and Friends are really great heroes, aren't they?)

In addition, I understand how you like your plays on words, which is fine. Some of them, however, are really hard to read and make no sense at all. RepubliCons I get, but "skool" for school and other words that are not double entendres but just plain misspelled.

You get many of your assertion points plain wrong. You exaggurate grotesquely when you talk about Frist (who I indeed hate) has removing living hearts. Wasn't he a doctor" And would not anyone who donated an organ and was on life support have their "living" liver, heart, lungs, etc. removed? Everything you say is so blatantly overblown and wrong. Thus, when you talk of deeper conspiracies like the plane not crashing into the Pentagon, for all intents and purposes, this may well be true, but when you mix up the Amendments or display a complete lack of knowledge of Mexican history--a topic you seem to like to address--nothing written of yours holds any water whatsoever.

It is always quite hilarious to read however.

I suppose I should counter with 'Native Citizens with a history of lynching and slavery.'

Or maybe 'genocide and slavery' would be more apt, except that we weren't native citizens when we did the genocide. We were the aliens committing genocide on the native citizens.

How far back into history, I wonder, are we allowed to reach in order to demonize a people?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Senate approved an immigration bill Thursday that would toughen security at the Mexican border and grant many illegal immigrants a path toward citizenship.

The 62-36 vote set the stage for another battle as lawmakers will try to mesh it with a stricter bill passed by the House in December.

Most members of the GOP majority in the Senate voted against the measure, with 23 backing it and 32 opposing. Among Democrats voting, 38 supported the bill and four did not. The chamber's independent Senator voted in favor.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a Tennessee Republican who voted for the bill, has called for swift talks with the House to mold a compromise measure.

The House bill passed in December focuses on border enforcement, and omits a guest-worker program and a legalization process for illegal immigrants.

President Bush supports increased border enforcement and a guest-worker program with a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

"The most contentious part" of the bill is how to handle the status of the millions of illegal immigrants already in the United States, Frist said.

Under the Senate bill, he said, those who have been in the country two to five years would enter a temporary-worker program, while those here longer would be eligible for legal status or citizenship after an 11-year probationary period.
