Weirdest thing I ever did was take part in hostage negotiation training at the local military base back when I was in college. They hired several of the Drama people to act as hostages or hostage takers...gave us scripts to follow and everything. This was back in the early to mid 90's. Had a lot of fun, and got to meet some really scary people, too!
Holding until you get back, Captain.

Now Tristan, that actually sounds fun.
I haven't done anything really weird for money... just kinda dull.
1. Cleaned house for a crotchety old lady while in college.
2. Participated in some focus group at some point, can't remember what it was all about. Can't do that anymore, either, cuz Mr. Grizwald works in marketing.
3. Transcribed a focus group of advanced AIDS patients dealing with their impending deaths. (This was a long time ago when an AIDS diagnosis meant a very short time on death row.) Well, that wasn't dull, just heart breaking.
4. Right now I have a little thingamabobber on my car that Progressive pays me fifty bucks every 6 months to keep on there. Monitors my driving habits.

I have participated in sociological experiments. kinda stupid and low $$, but it didn't take very long at all.
Am currently doing a birth control study (No period for 3 months. WAHOO!!!). But it only pays like $200 a year, but it still isn't very time consuming. (Oh, and did I mention no period for 3 months!!!! sorry, I love that side effect)

I'm still considering that just because they could be of more use to someone who actually wants to get pregnant. I wish it were as easy as the process is for guys. They ALWAYS get the easy way out!

Yeah! Me too! Although I've also been worried about being tracked down in 20 years time by some unknown kid.
I am working up the courage to offer to carry my sister's child. She's 34 and trying in increasing desperation for a baby. I would be happy to play host for her but when I skirted round the subject she thought it was weird!

Called the company today and was shot down in my attempts to be a pharmaceutical guinea pig.
Stupid birth control. I was tempted to lie about it, but then remembered that when they are doing 84 blood draws, that they'll probably pick up the chemicals in it.
