They started with the first door they came too, and so far hadn't found a bathroom, they found a lot of other interesting looking rooms and a few doors that actually led nowhere, literally there were metal walls behind them but still there was no bathroom. So they continued searching.
Shadow really wished they would find an adult, any adult.
She should have known better than to wish anything, wishing was bad…
The next door they came to was closed. Shadow knocked lightly on the door then cautiously the two pushed it open and peered in.
It was a dark room, they couldn’t see anything. Silently the two young girls walked inside only to freeze as they saw a glowing eye staring straight at them. The small amount of light from the now open door casting just enough glow for them to catch a glimpse of the thing in front of them.
They jumped back a bit not sure what they had just found, the eye glowing eerily at them as Shadow’s hand hit a button on one of the bulky objects surrounding them. A beam of light blinding them for a second before their eyes could adjust, revealing a huge creature that looked to be made of metal and flesh.
Shadow took a few tentative steps towards it, not sure if it was a threat or not, Then it began to move, standing up and blocking out the light that had once engulfed it. The sudden movement made Shadow run back to Ghost, before she looked at it again, The thing was huge! Fear flooded them and the two girls began screaming loudly as they ran from the room.

McQ stands as the two startled the children who ventured into discovering him ran out screaming in fear. Not understanding right away why they were afraid, McQ turns and sees his reflection in the mirror and realized he wasn't wearing his helmet. He is also much bigger than he sometimes realizes.
McQ grunts to himself and quickly puts his helmet back on, bolting it into place. He decides to try finding the children he accidentally scared. Disconnecting himself from his generator, McQ makes his way into the hall and listens for the screams of the kids. He tries to track them down but they must move like lightning because they were nowhere to be seen - even with his infrared capabilities.
As he makes his way back to the lab, McQ passes a room with a door partly open. He peeks inside and sees a masculine figure dressing up in women's clothing. Puzzled, he stands for a moment, not sure what to make of this. He simply shrugs and continues back to the lab.
"What did I get myself into here anyway?" he mutters to himself.

*Walking down a hallway, Serenity is suddenly brought to a halt by two small figures running into her. Looking down, she sees Shadow and Ghost, both looking terrified. Ghost is clinging both to her legs and to Shadow with a fierce intensity.*
There you two are! I was looking for you. What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost!
*Her small attempt at humor doesn't have any effect on the girls, who both look up at her with huge eyes. She does what she can to disentangle Ghost and squat down to the girls' eye level.*
GIrls, you're safe now. Tell me what scared you.

Bobbie Sue looked around and found that she was alone. Shadow and Ghost had gotten themselves lost again.
"Uh oh..."
Then there were screams. Bobbie Sue went running.
Out of breath, she came upon Serenity huddled with both girls, and Bobbie Sue let go a sigh of relief.
"Oh, hi, Serenity. It looks like you have things under control. I need to go get ready for the Gala Pageant. We Brides arrived in the middle of the first one. It was too late to compete, then."
She looked down at the two girls and thought to herself... "Leashes..."

Well, it has been over a week and about 150 posts since our paradigm shift away from gritty realism and toward silliness. I think it is past time for the Rules for the Second Gala Pageant to be posted. I had planned to leave these matters in the hands of others, but it's sort of dragging on, so here is my input. If anyone wishes to amend these rules, then I am fine with that, with one exception.
Rule 1: The Second Gala Pageant is open to any and all individuals who wish to participate. This is a rule I will insist upon, since the First Gala Pageant was open only to males and the women who were not judges were forced to sit around and watch passively. This needs to be an inclusive group activity.
Rule 2: Nobody will be required to participate against their will.
Rule 3: There will be an odd number of judges for the Second Gala Pageant, probably three. Ebonezer, Malicious, and CageyBee, the judges of the First Gala Pageant, are welcome to return. CallMeSerenity has also requested a position as judge, and I suggest that she be the first alternate in the likely event of a vacancy. That, or else we can bump the number up to five. Similarly, ThatWeirdGirl is requested to be the Mistress of Ceremonies, as she so aptly fulfilled that job last time, and brought us the Seven Brides as a bonus!
Rule 4: One round of the Second Gala Pageant will be based on the contestant’s appearance alone, which includes whatever outfit they might wear. This appearance is whatever they think might catch the judge’s attention, and might be elegant, or sexy, or slutty, or bizarre, or funny, or horrific. Bonus points will probably be awarded if someone can fit in all of the above categories.
Rule 5: One round of the Second Gala Pageant will be the Swimsuit Competition. This will be held in our water park. Swimming might even be involved.
Rule 6: One round of the Second Gala Pageant will be a Talent Competition, which will involve the contestants doing something. They can sing, or play a musical instrument, or dance, or compose poetry, or juggle, or perform some OTHER entertaining action (I’m thinking specifically about Needy here), or invent some clever device. However, performing a routine as a mime is strictly forbidden!
Rule 7: No matter what else happens, Malicious will probably win anyway. 
Now, while the rest of you are getting prepared, I must go seek out suitable regalia for the winner. After I return, we can debate the Rules and finalize the judges.
