NOT TRUE!! Exit polls showed that Kerry WON in Florida and Ohio. Dr. Freeman from the University of Pennsylvania’s ania’s Center for Organizational Dynamics analyzed the exit polling data for his Nov. 10 paper The Unexplained Exit Poll Discrepancy.

Freeman’s statistical analysis for Ohio shows that Kerry’s tallied vote of 48.5 percent is an extremely unlikely result. “It turns out that the likelihood that [Kerry] received only 48.5 percent of the vote is less than one in 1,000 (.0008),” Freeman wrote.

The same analysis for Florida, where Kerry received only 47.1 percent, given that exit polls indicated 49.7 percent, is less than 3 in 1,000 (.0028), Freeman found. In Pennsylvania, the likelihood of the Kerry result having occurred is less than two in 1,000. Freeman says that the likelihood of any two of these statistical anomalies occurring together is on the order of one-in-a-million, but the odds of all three occurring together are 250 million to one

“As much as we can say in social science that something is impossible, it is impossible that the discrepancies between predicted and actual vote counts in the three critical battleground states of the 2004 election could have been due to chance or random error,” Freeman concluded. The unexplained discrepancy leaves two explanations, Freeman wrote. “The polls were flawed or the count is off. Given that neither the pollsters nor their media clients have provided a solid explanation to the public, suspicion of fraud, or among the less accusatory, ‘mistabulation,’ is running rampant and unchecked.

This outlook has since been signed by over two dozen statisticians and political experts, many of whom are renowned PhDs and experts in their fields.

What you REALLY need to do is pressure your Secretary of State NOT to allow unverifiable electronic voting. And then you and your buds need to go observe the vote counting.

OK that would help, if the electoral college - the entity that REALLY elects the President - were full of Democrats, and the only way that is going to happen is if we get out in the State Elections and fill the seats with Dems.

You know I’m normally Mr. Look-at-the-issue-from-both-sides but right now I’m going my inner lefty say “HA!”. I’m so glad the US has come to realise what the rest of the would has known for so long, that Dubya is a dick. Well he works for one…

He consented to an interview with RTE over here in 2004 and wouldn’t you know it the interview asked him ACTUAL questions about ACTUAL things with ACTUAL follow-ups. The barely contained anger on his face during was as funny as it was frightening. I’ll see if I can find a link to a transcript so I can post it here. Afterwards the US posted a complaint to both the RTE and the Irish embassy. All that for simply being asked the kind of questions an Irish politician would be faced with on a day to day basis. As I say both funny and deeply worrying.
