Meanwhile in engineering: SR toggles up his comm-link and send a V-mail to TRM: "How long do you anticipate being dirtside? If the ship isn't in flight it won't need a full time engineer. That is unless you want to do some serious dry dock work while were are out of the black. Of course I'm hoping to get a couple of days to set up the catapaults, but I just want to get a idea what we have ahead of us."

**Having finished her meal, jake7 tosses her trash. Some metallic objects catch her eye. Getting an idea, she searches behind the bar, in all the trash cans, and anywhere else these things can be found. When her hands and pockets become full, she finds a bag to collect the rest.

After a few hours of searching, her quest is complete. She returns to her room and gathers together needle, thread, wire, and an old gossamer sheath left behind in her room.

She begins wiring together her metallic finds frantically, hoping to complete the dress in time for the pageant.**

Jazaf pats his now full stomach and sits in the common room to relax and watch the hectic movements.
"I wonder how this pageant thing will turn out?"

Well, I had planned to repair and upgrade the Sereni-Tree after the damage she suffered during the battle over Boros with the Killgore and Tripoli. Of course, installing weapons could be considered part of that.

"Why does no one ever think of putting signposts in these things?"

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
And as you know, these are open forums, you're able to come and listen to what I have to say.

*JadeHand and Mai head off to get dressed for the gala*

So, when is this Gala? I'm not exceptionally keen on spending too much time 'in costume'.

Later this evening I do believe. Depends on how long it takes everyone else to get ready.

*undoes a large caboodle and begins sifting through makeup and accessories*

Would you say your more of an Autumn or a Winter? Subtle just won't cut it with the black leather.

I suppose you could do your little gala strut and then strip. Perhaps streaking through the stage would impress the judges.

Autumn or Winter? I have no idea. I was going to go a little outlandish with the makeup. Considering the garb, I'm thinking Dr. Frankenfurter. I might even do the Time Warp.

Strip? Ummm. Not sure the Tree is ready for that. But private shows may be available on request. .
