I love the variations on the banner, it is nice to have some humour. The reason I have hesitant to say "YOU must buy only on this date, or only on sept 30th, or BOTH DAYS". It has to be volitional,as the past few days have demosntrated, browncoats are unruly folk. The thing is... at least in my mind, the sales spike(s) are not as important as the after effects, recruiting more browncoats etc. rejuvenating the fandom.
As longas people buy, thats important, as long Universal see the sales thats good. So if the sales spikes are seen as two blips isntead of one big blimp, I think overall(its my opinion) its stil lthe same.... And that way people can do what they want. The more people will try to convince others"no go for june 23rd" or "no, go for sept 30th", its jsut going to cause more rifts, unnecessarily. We all have stated our reason,s its out there.
So how about we make peace have a group hug, and get to work? or am I just completely insane? actually i am but thats another story.

2 dates are definitely less effective. I won't keep anyone from buying anything anytime he wants, but ONE day of insane consumerism is better than 2 half-assed days of consumerism, one overshadowing a charity event.
So sept 30th seems a logical choice for the frenzy. We can get so many new people to buy the DVD when we have the 3 months. 2 dates will not work, in my opinion, and like I said before, the second impact would have to be significantly bigger, and it probably won't be.

I love the idea of an all-summer-long celebration. Most of my Browncoated goodness is done at school, and I'll be out of the country for the majority of that campaign, but I might bring Serenity/Firefly propoganda with me to France, Italy and Greece. Bwa ha ha, I could give my host family the dvds. I'll support fully when here in the states.
