When is it too much?

Ever since my friend showed me FF a month and a half ago, I have spent much of my time on this site and humming the "Ballad of Firefly" everywhere I'm at. I even responded in FF lingo to a Evite that my friend's girlfriend sent out. My reasons for doing so was to weed out those closet FF fans and hopefully get a bigger group to watch FF/Serenity again someday.
Instead of find new converts, or more Flans, my wife told me that people have have been asking her if I am fanatic and do I watch FF all the time. What the frell! What kind of people are these? So all this as for nothing. Those of us who saw FF/Serenity together understood the inferences and the ongoing lines from FF.That was cool. But to call me a fanatic, even weird!!! GORRAMIT!!!
I guess I'm going to go for the Mano-e-mano approach then.

Hey, so what if you were a fanatic? Doesn't mean you are crazy. I hardly watch tv anymore. I put in either the Serenity DVD or Firefly. I spend a great deal of time on this site.
Just smile at the naysayers and doubters and tell them you are sorry they don't understand. Make them understand it is their short-coming and not yours :)

KINROEDARKSTONE, we hear and understand.
I myself am pretty much the same way. Once I get into something I like I really,really get into it. I have done this with several things over the passed few years but none all at the same time. Serenity and FF are just the latest. Now thats not to say that I don't live my regular life too. My Alliance Boss reminds me all the time who I work for. Sometime I feel like a "Mudder".
Your not crazy or weird. Maybe fanatic but whats so ruttin bad about that? I am.
Wear that browncoat with pride and I'm sure that you've noticed that it doesn't come with long sleves that wrap around and tie in the back

Thanks for the support! I am going the ono-on-one approach soley for my wifee's sake. Even with her Zoe like exterior, she's quite delicate inside, Kaylee-ish. Must take care of the wife or else no wife soup for me.

I don't know about you, but I'll be proclaiming the glory of Firefly and Serenity until the day I die! All nay-sayers are tools of the Alliance (whom we'll just have to convert, whether they like it or not).

Well, it used to be, well Girlfriend soup atleast, but young to marry. Just eating Singles soup at the moment though.

granted, i've got it good, folk are already ok w/ me being really weird and tend to assume they don't know what im talking about, so i spew ff lingo/refrances 24/7 with no particular disadvantage :)

Not for nothing. And you are definitely not weird... you have like what, 10 "friends" that might think you are a little different versus 20,000+ friends here that got your back?? Why we even talking about this?
