What's going on here??? I certainly see no reason to assume Auraptor didn't understand what I was alluding to. He just didn't agree, fair enough.
But I'm still pretty blown away how precisely the Bush administration is following the dystopian path laid out in the book. I re-read it recently and was stunned at how closely it paralleled the rise of the Straussian/Neo-cons. Even down to redefining words and playing technical games with the language. That's why I threw the quotes up there. Obviously AU disagrees, but I'm pretty sure he 'gets it'.
