Bush did break the law with the wiretapping, there is no doubt about it. There are a number of Republican politicians that are against him on that one. Unfortunately, his administration successfully used the "OH MY GOD TERRORISTS" spin and people fell for it again because no one wants to be thought of as anti-american and that's exactly what you are if you criticize Bush & Co.
