Browncoat Army: Firefly Day or Serenity Day?

Firefly Day
-We've got Fireflyday.com and this is what people voted for on Maxrimstain's website.
Serenity Day
-My favorite. We've ALSO got serenityjune23rd.com and this ties in better with the Serenity Now/Equality Now campaign going on. (No connection to their efforts, though kudos to them for organizing their wonderful showings!) Serenity Day is also a better tie-in with us purchasing Serenity the movie on June 23rd.
Edit: We CAN still make a Firefly Day, that hasn't been ruled out! But it just doesn't make sense to me for June 23rd.
Vote now. I'll decide on these results 12:00am EST tonight because I've got people doing artwork that NEED an answer on this ASAP!

for all the reasons Kaele and 11th Hour have listed before and because I know in my heart its the right thing to do.

Serenity day.
That's what we're pushing/promoting/purchasing that day - not firefly. Though I may purchase another FF set that day in addition to the BDM.
I also like what serenity means - to Mal, to me, to browncoats.

Serenity Day
It's the day we're all buying Serenity, so it fits, right?
Also, and a BIG also, we're going to contact Universal about this. How appreciative do you think they'd be if we named the day after "Firefly" instead of "Serenity"?!
Remember, we really, really, REALLY need Universal to be on our side. We need to name the day after the movie they produced and the DVDs they are selling.

For those folks who have a sentimental place in their heart for the name "Firefly Day", I do understand. But why not save that name for a campaign where we focus on Firefly?
This is not the last battle folks, we may need to do some other big statements to get our shiny 'verse back.

I guess I can concede to Serenity day. After all, it's not as if it flies in the face of the show we all love -- Serenity was as much a character as anyone else on there, and to some extent, naming the show after the TYPE of ship she was can seem somewhat cold and impersonal. She does have a name, after all. And an appropriate one -- a place of security and peace amid the harshness of the world.
(( Now if only Universal would get rid of that damn Papyrus... :P ))

To reiterate a point mentioned several different ways, Fireflyday.com should be used by a future initiative, doing something Firefly-centric.
Also, reserving the URL SerenityJune23 opens up the opportunity for continued use to drum up support for the third movie in the trilogy, etc
But if this mission works, we won't have drum up anymore support. There'll be fans everywhere, and a third movie will be a no-brainer for Universal.
