dvd release dates

i get really confused about why buffy season five is only being released on dvd in the states now, i live in ireland and season 6 was released on dvd over here all the way back in january, weve had S5 fo nearly 2 years over here. It doesnt seem as if u get any extra features than us either, i wonder why it takes so long for you all to get it

I have a pretty strong guess that the reason DVDs are delayed in North America is because of the nefarious and greedy TV networks. And I think there are many more levels of TV services in NorthAm versus Ireland and U.K. and even Europe. Each service gets a chance to bid for the series as each season of new eps pushes the old eps into syndication. So we wait until everyone's taken their cut. Although I think show producers are fast-tracking series into DVD.

you guys have had season 5 available for 2 years?
here in the states, they've been issuing 1 season every 6 months for the past 2 years.
we were watching season 6 unfold on air, when he finally got the dvd set for season 1.
Damn you American network and studio beuracracies! DAMN YOU!!!!!!!
