Anybody lose a book?

As a fanatic of antiquarian books, I can say that these aren't all too rare for the time period.
Someone probably thought they were stealing something valuable that they could fence, and then panicked when they realized that it's about as difficult to fence as the Lassiter! But about as valuable if you can find a private collector who wants it!

Wow, the title of this thread caught my eye since I did recently misplace a book and cannot find it anywhere (it's starting to drive me nuts looking for it :-o )
