If they were real, which Firefly character would you most like to meet and why?

Okay, not going with one of the standard answers here, and I'll explain why.
River.
Because - it would never be boring. You never know what's going to come out of her mouth at any given time. It would be a trip.
I would just want to make sure she saw me as a friend. I would NOT want to be around her during Fruity Oaty Bar commercials though.

Hmm, that's going to be difficult. I was going to say wash because we are so much alike, but then I got to thinking, what about Book or River wouldn't those be some interesting conversations?

I'd have to say Wash - I've always like those funny, slightly awkward characters with limited physical menace and not much passion for fighting, but loads of heart and loyalty for his friends. Plus, he'd be a scream.
Or Kaylee. Ahh. Kaylee. She's just so gorram purty.

Mal...I adore all the characters, but it's Mal that's closest to my heart. Probably has something to do with the fact that he was based on Joss himself (need I go on?). Might also have something to do with Nathan's adorableness.

Great question :) Don't be scared you are more than welcome to say your peace here :). Its an obvoius one but Mal. I like Mals values, his convictions. He is not a bad man but he's not a social person. He cares for himself but he also cares for the people under his wing. As long as Mal and his closesest are well he is happy. Very like me and thats why i like him and that's why i'd like to spend time with him :)

Well, Kaylee would be my obvious choice. I'd likely resort to mumbling and babbling like a moonbrained schoolboy with his first crush, but it'd be worth it 
(Plus she'd likely be able to figure why my car's making such a racket. So it'd be win/win all around :)
But, she'd likely spend all day being whimsical about Simon and such, so... my second choice would be Book. I'm still dying to learn what sort of mysterious past he'd been hiding, so I couldn't pass up a chance to take a shot at getting him to open up. I'm sure he's got plenty of good stories, too. And while we might not share the same belief structure, I'm sure we'd agree on many of the same values. Be real shiny to get to pick the brain of someone with that much hard-earned wisdom.
