Are Cecily and Halfek one and the same?

They're the same actress, and they're probably supposed to be the same character, except for a bit of a continuity problem with the Crimean War. OK, it's not a continuity problem if you imagine that human Cecily was hanging out with the demon Anyanka way back in the day, but how likely is that?

they actually did a line where Halferk recognised Spike. she said something like "william?" but that was it, then they moved on.

I think they usually get around the continuity issue by saying that Human Cecily was really Vengeance-Demon Halfrek while she was "on the job" where William lived. To me that smacks of justification after the fact, but I'm not so picky anymore...not after the Angel timeline fiasco, anyway.

Cecily was the object of Spikes(williams) affection while he was alive.
Kali Rocha, who played Cecily, later played Halfrek.
