So I'm watching restless again, I love this episode, I just noticed that when Buffy looks at the clock in her room the time reads 7:30, which has got to be a call back to graduation day part 2. When faith says "counting down from 7-3-0" which was a prophecy referring to Buffy's sacrifice in The Gift. I love how much Joss hinted at Dawn's arrival long before she appeared. Anyway, saw that, and had to point it out to someone lol

"Haha, mine is an evil laugh."

Wow. Never picked that up. Gives me an excuse to go and watch it again.

Joss is a genius, isn't he? That episode proves it.

Yep, everything in that episode (barring the cheese guy) hints at something that was to happen over the next three years of the show. Right down to that awful outfit Spike wears in 'Tabula Rasa' You can have loads of fun watching the episode and spotting all the references to past and future episodes.

Plus it's a cracking episode, and a brilliant glimpse into the minds of the scoobies.

I remembre hearing somewhere that the 7-3-0 reference was alluding to the fact that it was two years (730 days) before Dawn appeared.

I'm pretty sure the 730 refers to Buffy's sacrifice to save Dawn. Because the reference is made in the Season 3 finale, so 730 days, or 2 years, later, would be the Season 5 finale.

Has anybody seen the lion in buffy's dream? Look behind her head when she faces off with the 1st slayer and note the rock outcropping behind her. There is a lions head looking skyward.

Combine this with Willow's book report in her dream "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" and the lion becomes a symbol of a noble sacrifice. This then is forshadowing for the finale of season 5.

My observation of Restless was that the 7:30 on the clock was intended to reminded us of the prophecy from Graduation Day, then the full impact of that prophecy is symbolized by the Lion.

I wish I could say I figured all this out on my own, but truthfully, a far more observant friend of mine did the footwork on this analysis.

Do not fear me. Ours is a peaceful race, and we must live in harmony.

I discovered this site today and I NEED HELP!
I look for the music in the episode RESTLESS when Buffy arrives in the desert before seeing the first slayer.I search this since a few months with GOOGLE but the only song that I found about this episode is a Gille's song.

(I'm sorry if my english isn't very well)

Thanks

The song is available on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer 'Once More with Feeling' soundtrack. It is Track 20 and is called 'Suite from Restless' and the section you want is called 'First Rage.'
Hope this helps!
