But what this does mean, is that the doors are opened, FOX has no control over the project anymore. So, if they wanted to, SciFi could throw an absorbent ammount of money at Joss and say MAKE ME SHOW NOW!!!!! well, probably in more hospitable manner, but you get the idea

You are right, Dog, what it means is that it's now relicensed for SciFi UK to play the old eps in their line up. Our SciFi channel here in the US is already licensed to do that.

However the key word in that article is what Kaele pointed out in another thread...."primetime". That's the ticket to new recruits IMHO and that can only be good.

And we'll take good however we can get it!

This is what Ive been holding my breath for, with the DVD's hitting Europe and the show being broadcast in primetime.... we should get ALOT of new fans.

Hopefully this will be the edge we need to open some eyes and get our dam show back on the airwaves!!

Peace~
Aver

Soooo, I don't know if y'all know this or not, but UPN and the WB or merging this year becoming a new network called CW. This means that very few exsisting shows on those networks will be picked up for CW. In an online interview somewhere...(can't remember exactly where I saw it) there's talk that Joss Whedon might just be able to bring Firefly back on that network! Again, this is just a rumor and not announced news or anything so don't go all crazy, but it is words of incouragement for our cause!!!
