Who Has betrayed You and How?

Who has betrayed you?

In the course of my jaded existence I have been betrayed by 4 people…the last one was, well, incredible, and the price of that insane encounter was $78,000 plus my soul, and a score of friends, who just happen to be in the way.

Trust is an interesting thing. Looks great on paper, but in practice it’s a complete waste of time because in the end you can’t trust anyone, or is it just me? Am I the only one in human history that has ever been betrayed, or are there anyone willing to step up to the plate and tell their story of woe. To tell their story of betrayal that they did to someone, or was betrayed themselves.

Like I said, I know this belongs in Troll Country, but I shall allow the pieces to fall where they may.

I say we blow the main charges and let God sort ‘em out

I do not think you are alone in having experienced betrayal of one sort or another RiveR6123. I would dare say that everyone has to some extent, some moreso than others obviously.

I will not go into details about my own experiences as I tend to keep such things to myself, but suffice it to say that I have had an experience similar to your own.

Trust is a very special thing between people. It should never be taken lightly & should not be taken advantage of. There is a special hell for those that betray the trust of another.

You want a tale of woe - How about walkin into your home and finding your best man humpin your fiance - does that qualify me?

However, hanging on to that sort of pain only causes self destruction - something I know all to intimately. Trust is not something to throw around lightly but neither is it something to keep locked up and never given away. If you live your life all locked up then you are the only one who it will effect and that is in the negative.

Today I have a whole new circle of very dear and trusted friends - it took me some time to find them and friendships tested, but I know they are worthy of my trust and me of theirs.

Your pain is only fleeting in this moment in time but you are here for the whole journey. I hope you will find rewarding relationships worthy of your trust and you of theirs.

I think I'll put in my two cents by saying that trust is necessary in life. If you don't trust anyone then how can you have any friends or family? Of course it'll be betrayed now and again but that's the risk of it all. I'd rather trust have the friends and family I do now, even though on occasion they may or someone along the line will. If Mal really didn't trust anyone he would have NO crew, then we'd have no Firefly.

My betrayl isn't spectacular, it's just a fresh wound. I got fired on Wednesday because "I wasn't a good fit for the team" (i.e. I wouldn't lie to cover up my boss's fraudulent business practices).

I found out later that day that another reason I got fired was because my co-worker in my classroom (daycare) ran to the boss and told her a handful of lies about how I never did any work. She had been my co-worker and friend (I thought) for 4 years and we'd never had a problem, so it was a bit of a shock.

But the kicker is - I already have a new and higher-paying job, so she and my old boss can pretty much kiss my... well, you know the rest.

Yep. Got that right. Called the 9th level of hell in Dante’s Inferno where they are frozen in place as the devil devours them or some such fun.

So, I feel it is safe to say betrayal is a persistent and universal thing.

Now that's what I'm talking about! Yes, that is betrayal! You all better watch your back's because your friends, and associates are waiting to mess you up! Myself, I ejected all my friends, and my family, I disowned them a while back, so now It's impossible for me to be betrayed by anyone, and so what if I'm alone?? Better alone with a measure of a peace of mind than being a battlestar, sitting at Picon Base when the Cylon's show up.
