I saw the ending coming. It seemed pretty transparent to me. Maybe I just watch too much sci fi & it was a plot device used too many times or something.

Hmm...let me rephrase. I saw the Cylon thing coming. Not the whole "year later" or the fact that the nuclear explosion from Cloud 9 attracted the Cylons. Still good stuff, though.
Just pissed about the whole October thing...

I loved Starbuck's line to Tigh and his wife but I can't remember it exactly. Actually that whole set of dialogue was great!

I want to kiss the writers and the actors...All of them!!!!
So many series drag crap out WAY TOO LONG to the point where you don't even care anymore. BSG's season ender totally drew me in, had my thoughts racing and kept me VERY entertained.
Baltar shows his true colors as the bad guy we love to hate.
As for the reason Galactic was in the shape it is in....remember...the military is ultimately controlled by the civilian authorities. Kind of reminded me of the state of the military during the Clinton years.

Yeah, who needs combat pay or VA benefits?
But I think that the depletion of the colonial fleet was the only natural course left. There is this big wide world where people are starting a new life. Down there is where their families are. When their tour of duty is up, what reasons did they have to reenlist? They had been told over and over by the Baltar administration that it is safe. And unless there is a good *reason* nobody would enlist in the now obsolete military. Nether Adama could stop the depletion of their forces. The civilian authorities had nothing to do with it. It was the people who abandoned the fleet.
Because I am an American. And what does an American want? Democracy?
Capitalism.
I want to sell out and settle down. For one day only, it's a blue light special on Aisle Three. My wormhole technology... and a free set of steak knives... for all the tea in China. And anything you can imagine to pay me... welcome to my cold war.

Couple of things:
1. Hated the leap in time, but BSG started skipping a few weeks each episode for the last couple ones (specifically after Apollo got blasted in the bar). This is the only time in my life where I'm actually cheering for a 'wake up and it was all a dream' or 'travel back in time to fix things' ending.
2. I really don't like Dualla and Apollo. It seemed to come out of nowhere midseason, and it meant they killed off Billy. I loved Billy!
3. The mustache... gotta go... seriously. (What if Mal all the sudden had a beard in the next movie?)
4. October?! What show has a nine month hiatus?!
I don't know. I still watch every week, but it seems to me the show's been going downhill for a while now. It moves too fast (character and relationship development), skips too much, and is too soap opera versus drama/ action.
"I also hear that there's something called Firefly, which is either a canceled science-fiction television show or a new religion, I'm not clear on that. Either way, prayers for the resurrection are involved." – Lore Sjoberg

" It moves too fast"
And here I am thinking they finally made a show that moves fast enough for me! LOL

I think that they thought they were safe they just started to feel safe,
Select to view spoiler:
and that the Battle Star Crews were less nessary and as for launching the Alert fighters they would just be killed by the Cylons any way so why risk the lives of pilots to try to save the people in an attempt that would more than just fail to get them off the world but get everyone killed in the process. So they choose to live and fight another day.
Did any one else notice that Adrimal Adama was wearing a wedding ring? Could he be married to Laura Roslin?
BSG has be one of the best shows on still on TV.

I believe a certain Time Lord and his TARDIS will be in that time slot, or some 1-hour slot on Fridays.
Unless they do 2 hours of Dr. Who every week, which is what they're staring off with this Friday.

Absolute amazing season finale....October is way too far away...
OH and honestly, when I first saw the camp on New Caprica, I thougth that Moore had gone very Firefly on us...it felt a lot like how the outer planets felt in FF...I wonder if he got any inspiration from FF..
